Invitation Ladies and gentlemen, It is our honour and pleasure to invite you to an international surgical workshop on gastric cancer. For the third time the course concerning upper gastrointestinal malignancy will be held in Poznań, Poland, in cooperation with a group of such respectable experts. The event will be held under the auspices of the International Gastric Cancer Association (IGCA), Italian Society of Surgical Oncology (Societa Italiana di Chirurgia Oncologica SICO), Italian Gastric Cancer Working Group (Gruppo Italiano Ricerca Cancro Gastrico GIRCG) and Polish Society of Surgical Oncology (PSSO). The main subjects will be gastric and gastro-oesophageal junction cancer. The lecturers will include outstanding experts from Poland and other countries. Their presentations and valuable guidance will justify the need to organise the workshop. We hope the selection of lectures and oncological subjects will meet your expectations. General Information The workshop GASTRIC CANCER Central na Eastern Europe Advanced Course is the first event organised in Poznan, Poland by the IGCA (International Gastric Cancer Association), SICO (Societa Italiana di Chirurgia Oncologica Italian Society of Surgical Oncology), PSSO (Polish Society of Surgical Oncology) and GIRCG (Gruppo Italiano Ricerca Cancro Gastrico Italian Gastric Cancer Working Group) and endorsed by ESSO (European Society of Surgical Oncology). It is chiefly addressed to surgeons from Central and Eastern Europe treating patients with gastric and gastro-oesophageal junction cancers. During the course there will be seven sessions widely discussing the problems of diagnostics, multidisciplinary and follow-up treatment. The lectures on surgery will include detailed discussions on the problems which continue to be subjects of debates and which arouse controversy. Between the lectures broadcast from the operating theatre is planned. The surgery will be carried out by expert in a field of gastric cancer. The lecturers are members of the IGCA, SICO, GIRCG, PSSO and ESSO. According to the decision of the Scientific Committee, anyone willing to participate in the meeting must fill in the applications form available online and will be obliged to pay a fee. The fee guarantees participation in the workshop and consumption of meals catered during the meeting. Accommodation and transport are the participants responsibility.
