Sponsor-ed Mobile Friendly Going Live Kit Congratulations, you ve seen the future and you want to lead your school to it. We re delighted to be working with you to implement the most comprehensive website for schools. Now don t be scared it s been built for you. With over 350 school websites under our belt, we know that schools need systems that are easy to learn and to drive and our Mobile Friendly site delivers on both fronts. To get you up and running we need to know your preferences across a range of web setup issues. Getting it perfect is not the key because a website should be visually fluid and our system allows you to dramatically change your site s look on a whim. So don t struggle for that ultimate photo because once you get a feel for the flexibility of your site you will change things whenever the need and your ambitions present. The Going Live Kit is a site preparation document that leads you through the content and information we need to get your website live. We have sent it to you in word format so that you can type directly into this document and email it back! Please attempt to provide us with all the information in one email; this will minimise mistakes and double handling. If you have any questions, please email helpdesk@sponsor-ed.com.au or call 1300 755 010 Welcome again to Sponsor-ed Mobile Friendly Websites.

1.0 URL 1.1 Existing Website Do you have an existing website? ACTION 1: Please state your web address: 2.0 Editors & Training 2.1 Editors Nominate all the web editors attending the initial training. There is no need to list all your web editors (you can add to this list anytime). The training will show your Main Contact how to add/manage user passwords. ACTION 2: Complete the list below of web administrator contacts. Main Contact Other Website Editors

3.0 Homepage Design 3.1 Site Map Your site map is the structure of your pages in terms of primary, secondary and tertiary pages. There may be tab/page titles that you would like to re-name, replace or remove. Your site map can be changed at anytime by you. ACTION 3: Provide us with a site map. Would you like to leave your site map as is on your existing site? Yes/No: If No please attach your new sitemap to this document. You can use or modify the Quick Start Site Map that was attached with this kit or you can send your own. For example: HOME ABOUT US o Principal s Message o Policies o History STUDENTS o o Useful links - Student Links - Parent Links Curriculum 3.2 Logo ACTION 4: Please provide us with a copy of your school logo. This is best as an attachment rather than loading into this document.

3.3 Homepage Photos ACTION 5: Provide at least 2 Photos for your homepage gallery (landscape orientation) Your website has a homepage gallery which can be changed at anytime. You can have several photos photo s forming a slide show. To launch your site we recommend using the Panorama style photo shown below. Please provide us with two decent quality photographs for your homepage gallery. Minimum size of 1000 x 350 pixels. Tip: To find out the size of a digital photo stored on your computer, hover your mouse over the image which will pop-up a panel with the details, or you can right click on the image and go to properties/details.

3.4 Homepage Sliders quick links Your homepage has a series of images that when clicked take the user inside the website to the content. Links can also take users to other websites. Your mobile friendly template requires at least 4 sliders. Through experience we have learnt that photos look striking as sliders. If you wish to use your own images as sliders, complete action 6. If you do not complete the action, we will load up sliders using our own image bank. These are easily changed after you have been trained. ACTION 6: Please provide us with 4 images you would like to use for your sliders. Please name these images with the corresponding slider title. Please send your images as attachments. ACTION 7: Choose your slider titles; a minimum of 4 is required. 1. Newsletter (should always be present) 2. 3. 4.

4.0 Website Content ACTION 8: Provide us with content for your website (if not transferring from existing site). 4.1 Schools without a website If you are building a school website for the very first time, or if your current site is of no real use going forward, here s what you need to do. In section 3.1 Site Map, you told us how you would like the page structure of your new site to look. Now you need content. 1. Create a Word file containing the content for every page on your website. Name each page of content with exactly the same page name you have used in the site map in section 3.1 You can send separate files for each page, or one file with clear headings as to which page it will correspond with. If you don t have all the content ready get us as much as you can you will have a period of time between training and Going Live where you can update the rest of the information. 2. Other files to send us (preferably in PDF format): Latest newsletter/s Canteen Menu Uniform Shop Price List Enrolment Forms School Policies 3. Calendar dates You can send us your term planner, or just list some upcoming dates that we can put into the calendar on your website.

4.2 Transferring content (text) from your existing websites We will copy the content (text) from your current site and paste it into your new Mobile Friendly site. We re sure you ll want to take this opportunity to remove redundant content and start fresh. Please don t labour over this but be brutal. You will always have the opportunity to add content during training and after. Note: Copying documents from your old site is a very time consuming process when we don t have access to the original file on a USB or hard drive. To assist you we will copy up to 2 terms of newsletters (the current term and previous). The remainder will be easily dealt with during training when the original files can be accessed onsite. 4.3 Transferring photos from your existing website Some photos are not able to be transferred from your old site as they have been compressed rendering then of limited (fuzzy) value in the new site considering the high use of images in the system. If there are photos you wish to transfer from your old site, please have them available on a USB or hard drive during training or email them to us and we will pop them in before training!

5.0 Optional Extras ACTION 9: Please indicate below whether you wish to have any or all of the following features added to your site during the build process. Google Translator Widget If you have a multicultural community or just want to add it for some fun, the Google Translator Widget can easily be added to your site. When added to each page of your site, it will translate all text on the page to a language of choice. (There are over 50 languages to choose from). The widget is small and can be placed in the right hand section of your site. Normal Page Page Using Chinese Translator YES! I would like to add the Google Translator Widget to my site. NO. I do not wish to add the Google Translator Widget at this time.

Parent Experience Video We can load for you a short video showing how school parents can benefit from a Sponsored Mobile Friendly Website. It's not an app; it's better. To view a copy of the video please visit the Recent News on our Sponsor-ed website. http://www.sponsor-ed.com.au/ YES! I would like to add the Parent Experience Video to my site. NO. I don not wish to add the Parent Experience Video at this time.
