2 Introduction We are pleased to announce the XXII International Symposium of the TTD Group. This year we are striving to offer an innovative program which will not only include new topics, but also new formats which will greatly enable open discussions. Our objective is to facilitate a fluid dialog, a spontaneous exchange of ideas which, in addition to lending itself to a more enriching debate, will also ensure greater interest and participation on the part of the attendees. Along these lines there will be two open discussions whose format will be similar to that of the TV program 59 Seconds, a format that allows for a debate on colorectal biological markers and the clinical benefit versus cost efficiency in the therapeutic positioning of new drugs, similar to the debate format of Oxford Debate in which pancreatic cancer (Folfirinox versus GEM-Nab-Paclitaxel) will be discussed. Among the new topics this year we would like to highlight the clinical and biological features that are becoming clinically relevant in colorectal cancer, such as the importance of localizing the tumor or gender as it relates to prognosis and treatment, or the benefits of aspirin and metformin in prevention and treatment. Along with these topics, there will be talks that will help us better understand illness with an in-depth look at its molecular mechanisms in order to improve early detection, classification, and treatment. The program will also include a round-table discussion on neuroendocrine tumors with talks that will provide complementary information regarding the results of recent clinical studies with sights on a possible optimization of administration and sequencing. Because there is no room to include an exhaustive review of all tumors, we ve included a roundtable on new discoveries regarding other tumors. We hope that you join us with a desire to actively participate and that you find this new program format to your liking. Albert Abad (UCCO-Iradier, Campus CIMA Sanitas) José Luis Manzano (ICO.
