Assisted MSU faculty in writing evaluation reports commissioned by MCES. Conducted site visits at Detroit Public Schools elementary schools receiving funding for school improvement through the Skillman Foundation. Collaborated with MSU faculty and volunteers to write site reports. East Lansing Public Schools, East Enrollment 3,400 students in a highly diverse school setting. Provided leadership for curriculum, instruction, and assessment. o Directed the development, implementation, and evaluation of all curriculum and instruction, prek- 12, aligned to national and state standards. o Coordinated all aspects of local, state, and national assessments; report on data analysis to improve curriculum, instruction, and student achievement. o Facilitated the work of Curriculum Council, comprised of content committees and curriculum chairs, related to all aspects of educational programming. o Provided consultation, coaching, and support to school leaders and district administrators to improve educational programming for students. o Collaborated with Dr. Michelle Williams at MSU to develop and implement an NSF grant for K-12 science teachers. o Served as a partner with MSU and Ingham ISD for the PROM/SE Grant (Promoting Rigorous Outcomes in Math and Science Education), August 2005 through June 2008. o Worked with district Technology Committee to improve classroom implementation of software to enhance student learning and differentiate instruction based on students interests and needs. Facilitated all aspects of district strategic planning and school improvement. o Coordinated district committee for strategic planning with an external consultant, resulting in a board-approved, four year strategic plan for the district (2007-2011). o Facilitated district North Central Accreditation advisory committee of diverse stakeholders and consult with NCA building teams. o Participated in external Quality Assurance Review site visits to other K-12 districts. Developed, implemented, and monitored instructional budgets, including the Educational Services budget and all federal and state educational grant budgets. Developed, implemented, and evaluated new programs to increase student achievement. o Planned, implemented, and evaluated the Extended Learning Time or ELT Program, the district s first after school Title I support program for eligible elementary students, staffed by district teachers and paraprofessionals. Resulted in increased student achievement in core content areas through strategic instruction, as well as improved organizational skills, self-advocacy, and homework completion. o Planned, implemented, and evaluated highly successful summer school classes for student remediation in English Language Arts and Mathematics for two years, doubling student participation from the first to the second summer, serving students in grades K-9. o Collaborated with district ELL coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate ELL services for eligible students. Planned and coordinated professional development for all professional staff. o Conducted Professional Development Survey of all district staff, using results to improve district professional development.

Kellie Terry, Ph.D. 5 o Facilitated a variety of professional development experiences for staff on topics such as Differentiated Instruction, Balanced Assessment, Curriculum Development, etc. o Planned and facilitated many administrative meetings, including August 2007 retreat and principals inservices. Contributed to mentoring, development, and evaluation of professional staff. o Conducted orientations for new teaching staff based on Danielson s framework for professional teaching practice, incorporating introduction to content curricula, lesson design and delivery, and professional resources. o Developed a model for induction of new and probationary teachers in our ISD, collaborating with Ingham Intermediate School District staff and colleagues from three area districts. o Evaluated professional staff in accordance with state requirements and local contracts, providing appropriate support to probationary and veteran staff. o Consulted with superintendent on evaluation of elementary and secondary principals. Provided strategic plan, curriculum, and student achievement updates to school board. Collaborated with parents and community members through diverse structures including standing and ad hoc committees, parent council meetings, and individual contacts with concerned stakeholders.
