PHILOSOPHY Being led by the Holy Spirit s wisdom and understanding of the needs and dependence of each individual Christian, Pastor Sylvester Washington has commissioned The Christian Education Council, to design, outline and implement a sound, Biblically based Christian Education curriculum. The Christian Education curriculum is based on sound and firm Biblical doctrine, with the ultimate commitment of assisting each student to focus on the need for spiritual growth, community service, and scholarly attainment. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the vision of the under Shepherd, Pastor Washington, the members of the Christian Education Council are dedicated to providing the very best scholarly, theory and Biblical interpretation in its growing curriculum. HOLY BIBLE GRADUATION SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 2013 @ 3:30PM Additional Bible Classes Offered on Tuesday Night Assurance of Salvation In this course, students have an opportunity to confirm their salvation, and be able to directly explain their knowledge base (scripture) for declaring I m Saved. Training For Service This is a 10 lesson course that explores the documented historical link to how we got our Bible. The course is structured (including what are books of history, books of law, books of poetry, and books of prophecy) in a format that allows the student to examine the key historical dispensations, while in the same view understanding the Nature of God. The course focuses on what are the true ordinances of the church and closes with an outline of the life of Christ. Assurance of Salvation is prerequisite to this course. Survival Kit for the 21 st Century Helps new Christians understand and win over problems in their lives. Also teaches them how to have quiet time, prayer, Bible study and memory. Ephesians The Book of Ephesians, one of Paul s letters written while in a Roman prison. It was addressed to several churches and to all Christians about the blessings of being in Christ.

PHBC 101 INTODUCTION OF EVANGELISM Course is designed to introduce the individual believer to the basic Biblical principles of Evangelism as set forth in scripture. Course will elevate participant to an appreciative level of discipleship, to a point of personal Christian commitment and develop a base of an on-going learning experience. PHBC 102 PREPARATION FOR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (2) Course is designed for the exploration, comprehension, and memorization of the seed-plot scriptures. Course will aid the participant in developing a model to present an effective and systematic approach in Christian witnessing. PHBC 103 ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (2) Course is designed to cover the Gospel Plan in conversational form and the administrative process within the overall Evangelism Movement. Course will develop the participant s skill in the area of witnessing with particular emphasis on communication, and will also heighten the participant s awareness of administrative procedures. PHBC 104 EVANGELISM PRACTICUM (2) Course is designed to develop a working basis for perfecting the art of witnessing. Focus is upon skill building. Course will prepare participants for the practical application of previously studied materials in Evangelism. PHBC 105 RESPONDING TO FALSE DOCTRINES (2) An exploration of some of the current misconceptions and teachings of false doctrines. Course will prepare the Believer to recognize the characteristics of cultist groups and to confidently use and manage the Word on responding to these teachings. PHBC 106A METHODS AND TECHNIUES OF EVANGELISM (2) An exploration and analysis of the methods and techniques for witnessing, which are applicable in ministering to the spiritual, psychological and temporal needs within the local congregation of the Church. Participants will be effective and knowledgeable on meeting people where they are and identifying their needs. PHBC 106B AN APPROACH TO EVANGELISM THROUGH COUNSELING TECHINQUES An exploration and analysis in the area of counseling methods and techniques as they relate to the Gospel Plan and Christian counseling. Participants will develop a strategy for individual and family peer counseling. PHBC 106C GROUP COUNSELING (2) Course is designed to utilize group counseling for self awareness and development of interpersonal skills. The student will understand how self awareness is effected and will become an effective group facilitator.
