When several boarded horses are turned out together, a solid door or a buffer zone is required. This may be inside the paddock or may cover the entire site; For horses kept permanently outdoors: the paddock must be equipped with a shelter a minimum of 9 (3 m) in height. It may be natural or constructed. In this case, it must possess at least: 1 wall, a roof, and one or several openings measuring at least 4 (1.2 m) per horse (5 horses = 20 (6.1 m) total openings. For special occasions, when the centre receives a larger group of people, it is acceptable to define the area with cones at least 24 (61 cm) high, placed at 3 (0.9 m) intervals from each other, and at least 6 (1.8 m) from the spectators. A cord with ribbons placed at intervals of 3 (0.9 m) could also be used. This is a temporary measure used only for the duration of the event.
