Vista2D Solutions Vista2D Vista2D is a data visualization tool for the special needs of simulation applications. It is used for prototyping panels and instruments as well as any kind of data visualization. The Vista2D environment consists of the following parts : Vista Editor Vista Runtime Environment - allows running Vista2D views standalone without using the editor Vista Library - allows easy integration of Vista2D views into own applications Vista Datasources - a large number of predefined datasources can be used for data acquisition Vista2D Editor, editing and animating a scanned image for panel simulation Vista2D Editor The Vista2D Editor allows the creation of views by using simple predefined graphic primitives. Such elements are e.g. : Polygons Lines Circles Arcs Images Text Line Graphs Vista2D Integration The Vista2D runtime library allows easy integration of views into own applications. X11 Applications Motif Applications Qt Applications Performer Applications The application only needs to provide any OpenGL widget with an valid context. Drawing the view is simply done with only one library call. Vista2D Data Acquisition Integrated data sources can be used to provide data to the views without writing any line of code. There are some predefined data sources delivered with the Vista2D package. Additionally, customers can create their own data sources which are loaded as a plugin during runtime. Alternatively, data can be provided by library calls. Vista2D Animation Each created object in the editor can be assigned to an unlimited number of actions. Such actions are e.g. Vista2D view implemented into an own application Rotating Objects Scaling Objects Changing Line Style Changing Line Width Changing Line Color Moving Objects Changing Fill Color Changing Visibility Text Display Blinking Display of variables in Line Graphs Each action can be linked to any parameter coming from outside or from the view itself.
Vista2D Solutions Vista2D Data Sources Vista2D is delivered with some predefined data sources for accessing data without writing extra code: Constant data Automatic data for view testing Internal data UDP Sockets Shared memory Different CAN boards Demo Data source for writing own data acquisition functions. User defined datasources are linked to the application during runtime. Editing a virtual Multi Function Display Predefined Line graph objects can be used for displaying data in x/t or x/y diagrams. Views can run either in real time or controlled by the application for e.g. displaying recorded data. Line graphs offer a lot of options like autoscaling, colors changing on values, different line styles etc. The number of variables in each graph object is unlimited. Visualization of recorded data Data visualization of Flight Control System Data visualization of engine test rig Vista2D Applications Simulation Data Visualization Operator Stations Flight Test Benches Instrument Prototyping Panel Prototyping Virtual Cockpits Truck Instruments for Operator Station Vista2D Platforms Vista2D is available for various platforms : Linux x86 Solaris Irix Windows 2000/XP
MAP Solutions MAP MAP allows the integration of large raster maps into own applications. It consists of different modules:. Geo-Referencing Tool. This software is used to create the reference between the map raster coordinates and the Lat/Long coordinate system. Referencing is simply done by moving grid points to the appropriate position in the map. After referencing the coordinates, the map is cut to the desired size. At last, the map will be divided into small tiles and saved in.gmf format. Test Tool. It is used to test the referenced map tiles. MAP Library. The library allows the integration of the map into own applications. Only a few library calls are necessary to run the map.. The Geo-Referencing Tool can load any raster map and convert into geo-referenced map tiles. These map tiles allow a fast reloading of visible areas of the map during runtime. Reloading tiles can be done in background. An intelligent texture buffer is used for reducing reloads from the harddisk.. Geo-Referencing a raster map MAP Features The MAP library offers a lot of functions for controlling the displayed map: Free positioning Free Scaling Free rotation Decentered position Coordinate calculation functions Use of overlays Arinc 424 Reader Background loading of map tiles Testing the map
MAP Solutions MAP Integration Applications using the map needs to be linked with the delivered library. The map can be rendered to any OpenGL widget. The application itself may draw additional overlays onto the map. Soft Keys Navigation Overlays Arinc 424 Data, Navaids etc. Flight Path History Flight Plans and Routes Target Aircraft's Tactical symbols Background loading of map tiles MAP used in an airborne Flight Management Test System MAP Performance MAP is based on OpenGL and therefore provides high performance on machines with accelerated graphic boards. Only visible map tiles are loaded to the memory and drawn. Optional background loading of map tiles prevents the calling application from blocking. MAP Platforms MAP is available for various platforms : Linux x86 Irix Windows 2000/XP Using different maps in different scales for certain areas
