4 1. CLEAN SKY Eco-Design ITD: CopperBird & HighPMAAC Clean Sky is a Joint Technology Initiative (JTI) that aims to develop and mature breakthrough clean technologies for Air Transport. Proof of concept validation and TRL assessment through more than 20 large scale demonstrators

5 1. CopperBird ElectricalTest Rig ECO-Design demonstrator platforms for the development and testing of electrical network architecture for aircraft. Copper Bird (Characterization & Optimization of Power Plant and Equipment Rig) is a modular test rig dedicated to the development and testing of electrical networks for aircraft and integrated propulsion systems. - validate the integration of electrical systems and equipment. - check and assess the quality of the energy produced - check and assess the stability of the network - assess the system behaviour during A/C - representative flight cycle and simulated failures. - demonstrate maturity of technology and systems for More Electric Aircraft" CopperBird HighPMAAC Hispano-Suiza s plant in Colombes

CLEAN SKY Eco-Design ITD CopperBird & HighPMAAC HighPMAAC High Performance Modular Architecture of Acquisition and Control command system dedicated to test Electrical systems for Aeronautics It will allow to perform tests in an independent way at the Equipment Level and to perform tests at System Level, providing a full integrated test system. Based on distributed synchronized front-ends system, with high capabilities in terms of synchronized data acquisition rate, simulation, synchronized stimulation, modularity and adaptability. The architecture will be structured on modular subsystems. Synchronization mechanisms and monitoring at high data rate enable secure integration tests with high quality of acquired data, for a fine exploitation of electrical behaviour propagation. It includes simulation capabilities, implementing "Hardware In The Loop" features and may address other application requiring combination of Supervision, Monitoring, High Performance Data Acquisition and Exploitation. HighPMAAC High Performance Modular Architecture of Acquisition and Control command system dedicated to test Electrical systems for Aeronautics HighPMAAC Challange HighPMAAC is a challenging part of the COPPERBIRD Demonstrator because it has to provide unmatchable performances and dynamic, on a modular and scalable platform that could provide resilience and scalability for any future feature/test the COPPERBIRD users may require to introduce. Just to provide a simple overview of the key drivers, illustratively could be mentioned - Variety of signals and data bus - Volume of data to be acquired and real-time processed - Dynamics and data acquisition smart settings - Native HIL features - Effective synchronization

Members / partners would be able to connect directly to their equipment control system either locally at equipment batch cabinet or remotely from the main control room.

HighPMAAC High Performance Modular Architecture of Acquisition and Control command system dedicated to test Electrical systems for Aeronautics Interfaces with other CC exchanges between external supervisors and HighPMAAC I/Os, and numeric network channels synchronization by digital signals Time synchronization/timestamping available by IRIG B signal broadcast Possibility to access to the data sharing functions (access to the reflective memory) Simulation capabilities Ability to execute models (Matlab Simulink) Ability to share parameters between models running in different front-ends

Available for all the acquired signals Possibility of dynamic limits and calculations On detection, it can trigger HF signal monitoring Monitoring at 400 khz sampling rate Done by dedicated board in the front end (in // with the HF acquisition card) Possibilities of dynamic limit patterns and calculations On event detection, security actions can be performed by each front-end (at 1ms basis cycle).

HighPMAAC High Performance Modular Architecture of Acquisition and Control command system dedicated to test Electrical systems for Aeronautics The platform include : 100 HF analog inputs capable of 100 khz, up to 400 khz fully synchronised, without restrictions, and capable of 1 MHz Signal conditioning and insulation for HF analog input (Min 300 khz bandwidth ) At least 200 LF analog inputs capable of 1 Hz to 10 khz, with adapted signal conditioning At least 200 isolated digital inputs / outputs Open architecture for data acquisition through Numeric protocols (ARINC429, )
