Kennewick School District MATERIAL SUMMARY: August 2013 Known or suspected asbestos-containing building materials are listed below in order of hazard priority. The priorities are established by the Accredited Inspector(s) and Accredited Management Planner(s), and are based on the assessments. A material may be listed more than once if its location varies or the assessment criteria dramatically changes. 1. MATERIAL 9 x 9 Vinyl Floor tile and associated mastic LOCATION Throughout the School under new carpet and/or vinyl sheet flooring/tile. CATEGORY Low Concern Nonfriable Tested Positive ACM with potential for damage 2. MATERIAL 12 x 12 Vinyl Floor tile and associated mastic LOCATION Old Cafeteria under new carpet and/or vinyl sheet flooring/tile. CATEGORY Moderate Concern Nonfriable Tested Positive ACM with potential for damage 3. MATERIAL Cement Asbestos Board LOCATION Chalkboards CATEGORY Low Concern Nonfriable presumed ACBM PAGE 1.1

Kennewick School District ASSESSMENTS: August 2013 PRIORITY NO. 1 MATERIAL LOCATION 12 x 12 Vinyl Floor Tile and Mastic Old Cafeteria under new vinyl sheet flooring and/or new vinyl floor tile. DESCRIPTION Manufactured floor tiles typically 9 x 9 or 12 x 12, composed of a dense vinyl matrix that often contains asbestos and is adhered to the substrate with a mastic that often contains asbestos. QUANTITY SAMPLE RESULTS ASSESSMENT CURRENT DAMAGE UNDAMAGED AREA FRIABILITY ACCESSIBILITY DAMAGE TYPE Not quantified POSITIVE Low Concern Non friable Yes GOOD LOW LOW Impact DAMAGE CAUSE Age Impact DISCUSSION Floor tiles and mastic pose a relatively low concern unless made friable through sanding, drilling, cutting, etc. Use of abrasive floor buffers should be avoided. RESPONSE ACTIONS Preventative Measures Prior to Abatement Continue to implement Operations & Maintenance Program. Recommended Abatement Action None required after enacting Preventative Measure. Other Options None suggested. PAGE 2.1
