QuickBooks Business Accounting Software 2013-2006 for Windows Account Conversion Instructions for Web Connect to Direct Connect QuickBooks Business Accounting Software 2008 2010 for Windows Account Connect to Direct Connect As Florida Bank of Commerce completes its system conversion Direct Connect, you will need to modify your QuickBooks settings to ensure the smooth transition of your data. You will need your Access ID and passcode (PIN) for Florida Bank of Commerce and to be able to log in to the Florida Bank of Commerce Web site. It is important that you perform the following instructions exactly as described and in the order presented. If you do not, your online service may stop functioning properly. This conversion should take 10 minutes. Note: In the following screen shots, red icon numbers match step number instructions. All financial institution and register information is fictitious and for illustration only. In this document, QuickBooks 2006 screen shots display. While the screens may look slightly different depending upon version, the functionality remains the same. Any instructional differences are clearly noted. Bill Pay interface will ONLY work if your financial institution has enrolled you for retail bill payment service. Within this guide, this symbol displays to indicate any optional instructions. BACK UP YOUR CURRENT DATA 1. Choose File menu Back Up. 2. Specify which file to back up and where you want the backup saved in the QuickBooks Backup dialog, and then click OK.
UPDATE THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION LIST (Versions 2013-2008) QuickBooks 2009 or later: The financial institutions list is updated automatically every time you send and receive transactions from the Online Banking Center. Note: Although your list does not require updating manually if you do not see Florida Bank of Commerce on the list please follow the steps for QuickBooks 2008. 1. Select the Banking menu and select Online Banking Set Up Account for Online Services. 2. Click the Select your QuickBooks account drop-down arrow and choose your account. 3. Click Next. 4. Click the link What if my Financial Institution is not listed? 5. In the QuickBooks Help section under QuickBooks can't find the name of your financial institution, scroll down and click Update the financial institutions list. 6. Once the sync has been completed, close QuickBooks Help and click Cancel to close the Set up Account for Online Services window. 7. Select the Banking menu and select Online Banking Participating Financial Institutions to see if Florida Bank of Commerce now appears. DISABLE YOUR ACCOUNTS 1. Choose Lists menu Chart of Accounts. 2. Right-click your first account. 3. Select Edit Account from the pop-up menu. 4. In the Edit Account window, click the Online Info tab.
5. Deselect the Online Account Access checkbox. Click OK. 6. Click OK again to the warning prompt. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each account from which you download transactions.
ENABLE ACCOUNTS FOR DIRECT CONNECT IMPORTANT: Complete sections D through E after the conversion. 1. QuickBooks 2006 customers: choose Banking menu Online Banking Setup Account for Online Access. QuickBooks 2005 customers: choose Banking menu Setup Online Financial Services Setup Account for Online Access. 2. When the Online Banking Setup Interview appears, click the Enable Accounts tab and then Next. 3. Click Add Financial Institution. Click OK to confirm the prompt. 4. IMPORTANT STEP! ACTIVATE YOUR QUICKEN FOR DIRECT CONNECT WITH FLORIDA BANK OF COMMERCE. The first time you attempt to activate your first Account at Florida Bank of Commerce, you will receive an error: There was a problem with your online session. If you read below in the An additional message from Florida Bank of Commerce Pending Authorization: Visit the Personal Finance Software Access link under the User Services tab on Florida Bank of Commerce s Internet Banking site. Follow these steps to Activate Direct Connect for Florida Bank of Commerce a. Login to Internet Banking b. Click the User Services Tab c. Click on the Personal Finance Software Access d. Click Enable link against the QuickBooks request e. Return back to QuickBooks and check the radio button Try again (the refresh). Then click Next 5. Click the checkbox, and click Done. Click OK to confirm the prompt 6. In the Select a financial institution dialog, select I would like to enter information for my accounts at: and choose Florida Bank of Commerce from the drop-down list to the right. Click Next. 7. Complete the remaining prompts, entering the account information. Click Next between each screen. All customers need to select online account access. Only bill pay customers should select online payment. 8. Upon reaching the final congratulations screen, click Leave.
CONNECT & DOWNLOAD USING DIRECT CONNECT To download your new QuickStatement: QuickBooks customers: choose Banking menu Banking Online Banking Center. Online 1. In the Online Banking Center, select Florida Bank of Commerce. 2. Click Go Online. 3. Make sure to enter your password, and click OK. 4.
