IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 NODO IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 (I INGL) is designed for signalling over a single Primary Rate Interface (PRI) of public or private Integrated ervices Digital Networks (IDN) at 1,T1 and J1 reference points. I INGL 1/T1 may be used also for fractional 1 or T1 over Leased Lines and for A signalling (A A, B,, D bits preprocessing). IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 is a credit card size and low cost smart IDN device set. It is viewed as an intelligent IDN signalling module single across a driving interface: UART or HDL UART serial interface and P serial bus which gives users access to the P B channels in time-slot multiplexed mode. IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 interfaces IDN Network (Terminal and network sides) and supports the following functions: Worldwide IDN signalling protocols with network variant selection at execution time "AT" command set enhanced for IDN, A and management A A,B,,D preprocessing Optional upper layers API server for interfaces (PI, API-2, NODO,...) Optional X.25 and PAD (triple X) over D channel ode downloading through a UART port IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 is powered (5V) across the driving connector. IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 is convenient for providing add-on IDN ignalling to telecommunication equipment like P card, Routers, ultiplexers, ADs, Private witches,... IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1 is X (NT5, TR4) approved (with French and German Deltas). IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL T1 is certified in North America (F, UL). IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 addresses the O and technology transfer markets. opyright NODO www.nodcom.eu ep/09 These characteristics are not contractually binding and liable to changes without prior notice. 1/5

FATUR IDN IGNALLING ODUL INGL 1/T1 device set consists of the following main hardware components: a low cost powerful 32/16 bit integrated multi-protocol processor (otorola 68L302) including two high speed DA erial ommunication ontrollers (s) a Infineon FAL54/55 chipset supporting the following functions: T1, 1, J1 framer A framing HDL framer for common channel (D) PLL management line interface for 75, 100 or 120 Ohm 1 bytes Flash PRO memory a 128 Kbytes RA memory a 2 Kbytes serial 2 PRO memory for loading operational parameters a 20 pin driving connector (UART/UART, P, parallel I/O) Resident downloadable software provides the following basic choices of functions: Worldwide IDN signalling (ITT I.431, Q.921, Q.931) for voice and data including the following Network Operator variants selectable at configuration time: AT&T 55,..., 510 British Telecom IDN-30 Deutsche Telekom 1TR6 and uro-idn with German Delta France Telecom uro-numeris delta KDD IDN (Japan) Northern Telecom (D) National IDN-2 (UA) NTT IN-1500 (Japan) Q-IG Basic all Telecom Australia Austel All uro-idn (NT5) carriers (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Norway, Portugal, pain, weden,...) A A,B,,D bits preprocessing AT" command set enhanced for IDN and for product configuration and monitoring across the serial port used in UART mode Optional V.120 rate adaptation over one B channel (also use for Remote ontrol), Option for X.25 over D channel (X.31) Option for interactive PAD (X.3, X.28, X.29) over D channel across the serial port used in UART mode upper layers API (API-RVR) supporting international APIs : PI, API-2 as well as NODO proprietary API across the serial port used in UART mode Remote onfiguration and maintenance through a V.120 connection bears by a B channel Flash PRO boot loader elf-test and automatic restart opyright NODO www.nodcom.eu ep/09 These characteristics are not contractually binding and liable to changes without prior notice. 2/5

OFTWAR ARHITTUR The software architecture is based on the NTBRIK architecture which is close to the IO/ITT X.200 model. All protocol entities are managed as isolated objects communicating through a datagram message passing scheme. The message passing is based on FIFO queue communications. The entities of the system are housed in processes (one or several entities in one process) managed by an AX 68000 (KADAK) real-time multi-tasking kernel. When the origination and destination entities are in the same process the message passing is done through an internal FIFO without need of AX scheduling. When the two entities are in different processes the message passing is done using AX message exchange management. The software code is downloaded through the serial port to PRO Flash memories. The product management: configuration, audit, log is done through an UART serial port and will be done through the network in the future. The "protocol entity architecture" figure describes the different protocol stacks and the communication between the entities of the system. The following stacks and entities are in the system:. ystem management. ignaling stack: PH-D physical layer management and framer control PH-D physical HDL D channel protocol PH-B physical layer management PH-B physical HDL B channel protocol DL data link layer management DL data link protocol (LAPD,V.120) N network signaling management N network signaling protocol call control protocol for voice and data support DT-INT DT interface using "AT" command set R remote control entity A signaling.
