Certified Foresight Professional

Who? For those working in strategy, product development, planning, consulting and other development roles. What? Creating a foresight culture and system in an organisation is strategic, engaging, renewing and empowering. Also suited for managers, leaders and decision-makers. The Certified Foresight Professional programme gives you new capabilities to tackle the challenges in the changing working life and working environment and the opportunity to create a dynamic foresight system for your own organisation. Why? Traditional processes, strategies and ways of working are not adequate enough to comply with the changing working environment and challenges in the working life. More often different organisations need structured futures orientation and a foresight system tailored to their needs. How? A big part of the programme is conducted virtually. New teaching, mentoring, and learning technologies as well as digital tools are used throughout the programme. Seminars, learning materials and exercises are online and in the face-to-face days more focus is on group processes and facilitative methods in future studies.

Certified Foresight Professional 10.11.2015 Programme begins and virtual work starts. 24. 25.11.2015 Modern foresight paradigm Foresight has developed immensely in the past few years. Different practical micro level applications in strategic foresight have been created in addition to the traditional macro level proactive social research. What are the latest research findings and the best practices in strategic foresight? Foresight field has many new facilitative tools and methods, which are used throughout the programme. What kind of operations are we involved in 10-15 years from now? What is an organisation s role in the world, or the deep meaning that justifies its existence also in the future? Visionary development is defined as a proactive process, which aims at defining an orgnisation s business focus areas and the core competences that they require. We will get familiar with the theme through its current and latest research and methods. Typically futures thinking is utilized in examining product/service demand and consumption, competition development and competitors activities in the market, development needs in product development, customer relations development, employee competence and development needs, investment and risks, strategic and visionary decision-making needs, etc., i.e. normal business development planning. How could foresight knowledge and methods be used in a new way? 13.-14.1.2015 Foresight 2.0 13.4.2016 Visionary development 9.3.2016 Big Data 11.5.2016 Change leadership change innovations 7.-8.6.2016 Dynamic foresight systems supporting development Although knwowledge has always been power, nowadays data is referred to as a completely new kind of change force. Big data refers to a large and fast accumulating knowledge, where new methods to collect, record, and analyse are required. Can wider and more effective use of big data generate cost savings, more informative decisions more precise forecasts or better quality foresight? If history does not repeat itself, a change occurs. Einstein said: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Change leadership is not simply executing change, but it is also leading in a new way. Most change innovations are based on practicality, because science-led innovations out of all innovations are less than 5 percent. How can an organisation culture support the creation of change innovations? 30.6.2016 Virtual work stops and programme ends. (We reserve the right to changes)
