However, due to the new database size calculation introduced in Microsoft Dynamics C5 2012, a close-to 4 Gb physical size database might be reported as 3,3 Gb licensed size or less. This might lead to a situation where the physical size of the native database file might reach 4 Gb and hence cannot grow any further, without any warnings. A warning system for this situation has not been implemented in currently released kernels for Microsoft Dynamics C5 2012. Administrators of Microsoft Dynamics C5 2012 installations with database files larger than 3 Gb should monitor the physical size of the database files on a regular basis in order to prevent a unwarned production stop. In general when database files grows beyond 1 Gb (licensed size or physical size), covertion to SQL database should be considered.
