ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS F SENI COLLEGE PROGRAM (e.g., minimum GPA, audition/portfolio): About the Program Baccalaureate-level coursework builds on that foundation and offers additional tools for professional advancement. In the bachelor s program, a choice of career tracks allows students to specialize in either advertising design, graphic design, web design or digital video/multimedia and explore the multifaceted world of communication design. Advanced electives available to students in all four tracks will encourage them to investigate topics in advertising, graphic design, packaging design and typography. Students may further develop their design and communication skills by taking electives including desktop publication design, digital video, -D and -D animation, multimedia, photography, speech, business management and advertising production management. A core of advanced design courses will prepare students to meet the challenges of the profession: senior project, portfolio, the design team and an internship. The department also continually modifies its curriculum to reflect current practices in the profession by offering new and experimental courses in the latest technical advances, including web design and animation. Admission B.C.C. students who complete all their course requirements will not be required to take more than 60 credits to complete the BTech program. will be granted for courses taken at B.C.C. Associate in Applied Sciences Degree from Bronx Community College. Bronx Community College graduates with the Associate Degree in Digital Arts will receive 60 credits toward the Bachelor of Technology in Communication Design at New York City College of Technology. In addition, they will be deemed to have met all lower division requirements at Bronx Community College. E. Articulation Agreement Follow-Up Procedures 1. Procedures for reviewing, up-dating, modifying or terminating agreement: Bronx Community College Digital Design and Computer Graphics Curriculum Co-coordinator, Professor Lisa Amowitz, and NYCCT Department of Advertising Design and Graphic Arts, Professor Joel Mason, will review implementation of the agreement once every two years to ensure that students are adequately informed of the program and to identify issues requiring attention.. Procedures for evaluating agreement, e.g., tracking the number of students who transfer under the articulation agreement and their success: After transfer into the NYCCT major, the performance of Bronx Community College students will be tracked using the CUNY Institutional Research Data Base. The NYCCT Department of Advertising Design and Graphic Arts Major provides advisement to all students entering the major.. Sending and receiving college procedures for publicizing agreement, e.g., college catalogs, transfer advisers, Websites, etc.: Notice of articulation will be placed in the respective catalogues, recruiting brochures, websites, and on the CUNY TIPPS website.
