COMPETITION MECHANICS METRO MANILA AND LUZON PARTICIPANTS The EGO SUPREME CREW WARS is a competition open to High School and College all-male dance crews that are currently and officially enrolled for the school year 2014-2015. It will have the following categories and competition requirements: Competition Categories Highschool Division (Metro Manila & Luzon Region) Highschool Division (Visayas & Mindanao Region) College Division (Metro Manila & Luzon Region) College Division (Visayas & Mindanao Region) *See separate mechanics for the Visayas & Mindanao Region Composition of Crew 1. The dance crew must have a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of sixteen (16) all-male members. 2. All members of each dance crew should be officially and currently enrolled in for the school year 2014 to 2015, with all members belonging to the same school. 3. Members for High School Division crews should be 13 to 18 years old, while members for College Division crews should be 16 to 24 years old. 4. A school may be represented by one (1) or more groups. 5. Only schools accredited by DepEd and CHED will be allowed to be represented in this competition. Required Documents (for Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao Participants) 1. Fully accomplished EGO SUPREME CREW WARS Entry form and waiver. 2. Scanned copy or photocopy of the following from each member of the crew:. a. Birth Certificate b. School ID c. School enrolment or registration form d. Group logo e. Group photo f. Group write up g. School logo h. Formal endorsement letter from the school for the dance crew with its list of competing and alternate members.

Dance Crews must submit ALL of these requirements on or before August 22, 2014 via email at egosupremecrewwars@gmail.com or hand-carried at Acts Dance & Arts Academy, Mezzanine Floor GA Tower1 EDSA-Boni Mandaluyong City. Entry Changes or Substitution Upon submission of the registration form, changes in the list of official group participants and alternate/substitute members will not be allowed. Only substitutions due to injuries and other medical conditions will be allowed. A medical certificate must be submitted to the organizer. Only the alternate members declared in the registration form will be allowed to replace injured members of the group. Crews, however, are not required to replace injured members, provided that the team does not go below eight (8) performers. Teams below the minimum number of dancers will not be allowed to participate in the competition. Crews advancing to the finals are allowed to change their routine. General Assembly Official participants of the Eliminations will have a general assembly on September 6 for the eliminations participants and on November 8 for the finalists at Grand Finals. General Assembly will be held at the ACTS Dance & Arts Academy. Time of the assembly to be announced. ELIMINATIONS The eliminations will be held on the following dates at the Market! Market! Activity Center: September 20 High school Division September 21 College Division GRAND FINALS Grand Finals will be held on November 22, 2014 at the Araneta Coliseum. PERFORMANCE & STAGE RULES Music For the eliminations, thee dance routine must be a minimum of two minutes and twenty-five seconds (2:25) and a maximum of two minutes and thirty seconds (2:30). For the finals, the dance routine must be a minimum of two minutes and fifty-five seconds (2:55) and a maximum of three minutes (3:00). Time of the routine begins with the first audible sound and ends with the last audible sound. Dance crews are allowed to edit and mix more than one song but it must not contain any inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language. Violation of this rule will cost point deduction to the crew s overall score. Final edited music must be submitted in MP3 format on or before September 6, 2014 via email at egosupremecrewwars@gmail.com or hand-carried at Acts Dance & Arts Academy, Mezzanine Floor GA Tower1 EDSA-Boni Mandaluyong City. Genre Dance routine must only include Street Dance styles (e.g. Popping, Locking, Breakdancing, etc.). Costume Dance crews will be allowed to wear any kind of costume provided that there will be no visible branding of any other brands aside from EGO. Tags or brand patches must strictly be covered. Wearing EGO merchandise is encouraged but not required. Props Use of any huge props is not allowed. Small hand held props such as scarf, handkerchiefs, etc. can be used as long as these are considered part of the costume. Removing these props during the performance may be permitted provided that it will not be thrown and left inside and outside the stage and that it will not be offensive or out of character. Violation of this rule will cost point deductions to the crew s overall score. Stage Area The stage size for the dance off is 24 x 40 feet. Dance crews will be given five (5) minutes to block on stage on the day of the competition. Exact time and sequence shall be discussed during the General Assembly to be held prior to the eliminations.

CREATIVITY & ORIGINALITY 20% Use of fresh, creative, and original choreography and concept that makes the routine stand out from all the other performances ENTERTAINMENT VALUE & AUDIENCE IMPACT 10% Use of entertaining and interesting choreography, concept, and blow ups that will bring the crowd to cheer for the crew. COSTUME 10% A demonstration of the EGO personality the flamboyant, masculine and with lots of attitude -through the attire worn TOTAL 100%
