A NE W JOURNEY A New Journey Eating Disorder Center is the first Adolescent Partial Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Program in Santa Monica, California. We offer a unique array of treatment programs for adolescents suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating and other related and co-occurring disorders. Our programs are designed and conducted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with years of experience in the field of eating disorders, mental health, addictions and compulsive disorders. A New Journey Eating Disorder Center offers innovative treatment options for clients who do not require residential care and for those who need continuing care following the completion of inpatient treatment.

You are not alone We can help A New Journey s primary focus is to ensure emotional and physical well being from destructive eating, self-destructive behaviors and negative thinking. Treatment programming consists of a combination of specialized groups, nutritional meal planning, supervised meals, meal processing and educational presentations designed to support the recovery process. Our Mission and Treatment Philosophy We are dedicated to providing a foundation of knowledge and a healthy environment to clients that encourages emotional growth, healing and balanced living. Each client is treated with dignity, respect and compassion in an innovative, intensive, state-of-the-art program. Our programs effectively combine a sophisticated model of psychotherapy, nutritional restoration and psychiatric oversight within a safe and therapeutic setting. We believe the sooner an adolescent decides to get help, the greater their chance for a healthy life. T h e r a p e u t i c P r o g r a m M o d a l i t i e s Our skilled team provides state-of-the-art treatment through various therapeutic modalities including:» Individual and Group Psychotherapy» Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)» Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)» Body Image Groups» Meal Planning and Nutritional Education» Gentle and Mindful Eating Process Groups» Skill Building and Relapse Prevention Groups» Multi-Family Therapy Groups» Experiential Therapies, including - Psychodrama - Art Therapy - Yoga T e e n e s t e e m : A d o l e s c e n t Pa r t i a l D ay Treatment & Intensive Outpatient Program A New Journey s Adolescent Partial Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Program are for male and female adolescents struggling with eating disorder issues. The Intensive Outpatient Program meets five days a week after school and is specifically designed to work with the client s school schedule. Our Partial Day Treatment is appropriate for those adolescents needing a more intensive program. Clients may attend the partial day program, intensive outpatient program or both depending on the level of support needed.
