Post-graduation Opportunities: Nurse Medical Practices Hospital Community Clinic La Salle s Nutrition programs provide the fundamental knowledge and the experiential learning opportunities students need to become professionals in the nutrition field. Students who enroll in La Salle s Coordinated Program in Dietetics get a jumpstart on their careers by completing their 1,200-hour internship requirement during their senior year. The national average passing rate is 75 to 80 percent.

During my first week at La Salle, I met a Christian Brother who described to me what a Lasallian education is. He emphasized that at La Salle, your education incorporates more than academic and professional achievements; a Lasallian education focuses on the whole person. Megan Marron, R.N., 12 Registered Nurse, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Medical Intensive Care Unit Major: Nursing Hometown: Warrington, Pa. Jillian Baker is a trained community mental health counselor who is conducting groundbreaking research into the prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in vulnerable populations. Her most recent project has involved going into Philadelphia barbershops to talk to fathers and their sons about prevention. Overall, it s been a really exciting and humbling experience, she said. It opened my eyes that there s a need for this and there s a desire to take part in this.
