From 1986-1990, directed coverage of 12 NCAA Division I sports. Athletics reorganization in 1990 included move to Division III and addition of football and women's basketball. Assisted with design of two new athletic training facilities.

Stuckey/p. 2 Position included administration of both education and service division budgets, daily operation of three athletic training facilities, supervision of licensed/certified assistant and graduate assistant athletic trainers, and student recruitment. Major accomplishments include: Creation and university approval of Bachelor of Behavioral Science program in athletic training. Program was initially accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in 2005. Together with a School of Nursing faculty member, arranged for collaboration between athletic trainers, family nurse practitioner (FNP) and medical director to allow student-athletes to be evaluated by an FNP twice weekly for general medical problems, illnesses, etc., at no cost to university. Prescriptive authority was given by the medical director to the FNP for the treatment of such conditions. Professional athletic training staff increased to include two full-time assistant athletic trainer/adjunct instructors and one graduate assistant athletic trainer. In cooperation with physician consultants, formed ability to provide increased onsite emergency care for student-athletes, including AED, IV therapy and ET intubation. Increased athletic training students from four to 19 students; scholarships increased from $3,200 to $13,000, began active recruiting of potential athletic training students. Started daily, full-time athletic training coverage of eight sports (football, baseball, softball, women's volleyball, men's/women's basketball, men's/women's soccer). Complete restructuring of record-keeping system, including designing new forms, daily progress notes and computerizing injury/treatment records (SportsWare). Restructured program administration, including developing staff policies/ procedures manual, physician-to-athletic trainer standing orders, HIV-AIDS participation/infection control policies and instituted new athletic insurance policies. Established Student-Athlete Mentor [SAM] program for peer athlete education/ counseling resources. Served as host athletic trainer for: 1999-2001, 2003 NCAA women s basketball and football games; several NAIA football playoffs/quarterfinals 1993-1995; Texas State High School Wrestling Championships 1994-1995; TIAA conference track meet, 1994; NAIA 1988 Women's Soccer Final Four. 2006- ABILENE SPORTS MEDICINE & ORTHOPEDICS present Contract Athletic Trainer Provide contract athletic training services for Colorado City (TX) High School football and other area high school football games. July, 1993 July, 1991 U.S. OLYMPIC COMMITTEE, Colorado Springs, CO Volunteer Athletic Trainer Selected to serve as a staff athletic trainer working with various sports (primarily men's/women's field hockey) at 1993 U.S. Olympic Festival.
