Coordinator of A-Day 5k run student volunteers 2006 & 2007 (35 students) Coordinator of area UWG student volunteers (70-80) for area Special Olympics 2007, 2008, Region Special Olympics in 2009 (24 students) Coordinated student volunteers to do twice yearly, day-long maintenance on UWG nature trails, 2007-present Advisement of student organizations: Faculty advisor to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes , meet every Wednesday at 9pm throughout school year Advisor & coach, Men & Women Cross-Country Teams Faculty advisor & founder of WAMO student organization-this organization was created as part of the NCAA Choices Grant, February 2007-December 2009, monthly meetings and training. Faculty advisor to inaugural UWG Climbing Club Participation in advising and educational support activities for students: Directed student research which resulted in student presentation for UWG Big Night presentations, 2008 & 2009 Director of 2 nd place award student Big Night presentation 2009 Organized seminars SPMG Sports Management Students Club by assisting with UWG Speakers Series Organized and directed annual seminars for student-athletes on the topics of a) social responsibility associated with alcohol and b) training for academic success. Both activities attended by over 300 students each year, two seminars each year, 2007 & Funded by NCAA Choices Grant. Awarded $30,000 grant in May, 2007 to implement a 3 year alcohol and drug responsibility (CHOICES) program on UWG campus. To involve athletes and non-athletes in education, awareness, alternatives, and treatment if necessary. NCAA $500 speakers series grant, Spring 2008 for alcohol education speaker.
