MANUAL PISTON SAMPLER TYPE M 11 1. DESCRIPTION The M 11 manual piston sampler is used to obtain a 50 cm3 volume sample in a vertical chute. This sampler has the advantage of not altering the particle size distribution of the sample, and the sampling is carried out using a 50 cm 3 calibrated opening. When it is not in the sampling position, the sampler is retracted and does therefore not protrude into the product chute. The sample collection begins by pushing the piston of the sampler into the product flow using the handle. The sample is collected gravitally, and is then discharged by pulling back the handle and rotating it a 180. 2. SCREW SAMPLER TYPE PREC 22 1. DESCRIPTION The screw sampler type PREC 22 is used to obtain a product sample by continuously rotating the auger of the sampler. The sampling process is divided into two steps : 1. purging of the sampler by rotating the auger., 2. inverting the rotation direction to sample the material in the product flow and evacuating at the sample discharge for collection. 2. SCREW SAMPLER TYPE PREC 100 1. DESCRIPTION The screw sampler type PREC 100 is used to obtain a product sample by continuously rotating the auger of the sampler. 2. SLIDE SAMPLER TYPE PR 55 1. DESCRIPTION The slide sampler type PR 55 is used to obtain product samples from a screw or chain conveyor. The material is sampled by opening a slot in the lower part of the conveyor using a pneumatically operated slide valve. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Rounded metal sheet adapted to the diameter of the screw with attachment holes - Body in 304 L stainless steel - Sealing between the screw and the body by a flat Neoprene seal - Base plate in polyethylene 1000 - Several guides with adjustable friction pads - 2 fixing angles in galvanized mild steel with mounting bolts and adjustable screw regulating slide pressure and limiting play. - Slide in 304 L stainless steel with opening for product outlet - Operation control with ø 50 mm dual stroke pneumatic jack, travel 80 mm attached directly on the body - Position control by magnetic sensors - Solenoid valve 5/2 with 48 volts 50 Hz coil 3. ROTATING SCREW SAMPLER TYPE PRV 1. DESCRIPTION The sampling equipment type PRV is used to obtain a product sample in a vertical drop without modifying its particle size distribution The product is sampled by the rotating spoon attached to the tip of the sampler, and is then conveyed inside a DN100 cylinder, onto which is welded a steel spiral. A gear motor drives the rotation of the whole assembly. The sample is discharged at the end of the steel cylinder and falls on to an inclined steel plate, that contains a volumetric chamber. The sample falls into the chamber and the excess is returned back into the process. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Rectangular flange mounting - Abrasion resistant steel spoon with a 75 mm width s calibrated opening - Barrel made of a mild steel tube DN 100 with mild steel welded thread - Main drive shaft welded on to the barrel by a tripod - Drive shaft supported by 2 ball bearing assemblies in a cast iron body. - Drive motor : a gear motor assembly power 0,12 KW under 400 volts three phase 50 Hz set up with anti rotation arm - Frame for easy installation with predrilled holes for assembly - Tube connection at 45 for sample discharge connection - DN 80 output tube for sample collection 3. PNEUMATIC PISTON SAMPLER TYPE P11 1. DESCRIPTION The P 11 sampler with pneumatic control is set up to extract a certain product quantity through a vertical pipe. This volume is selected by a twin wheel which controls the cleaning and the tightness of the whole. The sampling collection is made by the pneumatique piston action within the chamber. It enters into the material flow by putting off the residual product. When the piston is in the flow, the product is collected in the twin wheel and bulked above the oulet tube. The sample is thus collected gravitary. Two air intakes are forecasted : one for the twin wheel cleaning in the rear position and one for the retention of the product. 2. SAMPLING EQUIPMENT TYPE PBA 1. DESCRIPTION The sampler is set up directly above the conveyor belt conveyor and its installation does not require the conveyor to be either modified or cut. A thick steel spoon rotates and passes just above the conveyor. As it moves it catches a slice of product that is lying on the conveyor and pushes it towards a sample collection and gravity discharge point that is located at the edge of the conveyor. 2. ROTATING CUP SAMPLER TYPE PGR 1. DESCRIPTION The rotating cup sampler type PGR is made of a steel body set up between 2 flanges directly into the vertical chute, from which a representative sample will be extracted. A pivoting sampling spoon, is used to cut across the flow of material and grab a representative sample. When at rest, this spoon remains outside the product flow. As each particle in the product flow has an equal probability of being sampled this sampler provides a really representative sample. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Maximum allowable product temperature : 100 - Welded metal steel body - Upper and lower flange for direct mounting on existing pipe - Abrasion resistant steel spoon with calibrated removable and replaceable opening - Steel shaft mounted on ball bearings - Sample gravity discharge through an ISO PN 10 pipe outlet - Operation control using a gear motor with crank rod system 3. LINEAR TRANSLATION SAMPLER TYPE PTR 1. DESCRIPTION The PTR sampler is installed at the discharge of a conveyor belt or in a chute between 2 conveyor belts. It consists of a leak tight casing that is attached to the housing of a conveyor belt discharge, and a sampling spoon that cuts laterally across the whole product flow. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Sampling spoon real travel : depends on the belt width + around 100 mm - Sampling slot width : according to the product characteristics (min 3 times the dimension of the largest particle) - Spoon linear speed : from 0,4 to 0,6 m/s - Maximum allowable temperature : 120 - Welded profiled steel rigid frame structure - Moving part consists of a sampling spoon set up on a linearly moving steel structure, with the motor mounted on board, this is supported and guided on 4 adjustable steel rollers - Side leak tightness using brushes, upper and lower leak tightness using spring steel - Removable spoon with side deflectors constructed in wear resistant steel 3. ROTATING HOMOGENIZATION HOPPER TYPE TRH Version 05/2005 1. DESCRIPTION The rotating homogenization hopper type TRH is used to collect a sample from a primary sampler, to blend it so as to obtain a homogeneous sample at the discharge of the unit. This equipment is installed below a primary sampling system and operates in the following manner : During the primary sampler emptying process, the lower valve is closed and the hopper is filled. A paddle fixed with a rubber scraper rotates inside the vessel. The movement causes the powder sample that is contained inside the hopper to blend. At the end of the cycle, the upper valve is closed and the lower valve is opened so as to allow the sampled product to flow out. The paddle is rotated, so as to ensure that all material inside the hopper is evacuated properly, so as to avoid product cross contamination. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Conical hopper to improve the blending and the discharge of sample - Welded profiled steel structure - Flange attachment for product introduction and discharge - Self-aligning ball bearings for support of the drive shaft - Rotating paddle with Neoprene scrapper attached via a flange, that homogenizes the product - Worm gear motor - Leak tight discharge valve using metal against metal sealing - Pressure balancing valve using a flexible rubber cover - Access panel on discharge arrangement to access the pressure balancing valve 3. SAMPLE STORAGE CAROUSEL 1. DESCRIPTION The sample storage carousel is used to store samples that were collected automatically. The use of this equipment greatly improves the sample collection process. The number of storage containers as well as their volume can be modified according to your needs. A circular rotating table is used to hold the storage container in place, and position them under the fill position. The automation and control system can position, each container under the vertical fill chute. Both the position of the container and an overflow sensor are monitored automatically. 2. CHARACTERISTICS - Welded profiled steel structure - Upper panel with the introduction of the samples through a BSP flange or pipe - Forward pivoting opening, used to install and remove the sample containers, with closed position check - Storage for the container tops in an enclosure located on the top or on the side of the equipment. - Intermediate circular plate including circular openings to maintain the storage containers - Main axis mounted on conical ball bearings with a free wheel - Positioning of container holding plate using a coding system with inductive sensors - Container presence detection system - Rotation of the container holding plate using a worm gear motor 3.
