Provision of Services SKN Electrical Services Ltd undertakes the maintenance and inspection of electrical and instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, utilising both standard and rope access techniques. This includes:- Provision of specialised locally based project management support. Provision of in-house fully qualified and experienced COMPEX trained Ex E&I certified Chargehands and Inspectors, on a planned or ad-hoc basis. Provision of in-house fully qualified IRATA / COMPEX trained rope access Level 1, 2 and 3 E&I Inspectors / Supervisors. Provision of engineering modification services including front-end design, supply, installation and commissioning of equipment, along with competent close out capability. Maintenance strategy review capability, introducing best practices. Compilation of Ex equipment registers and database management by means of utilising the ARNLEA Maintain Ex Software. Supply of all electrical equipment and consumables on a sale or return basis, thus avoiding any overage in operational expenditure. Implementation of continuous improvements to services and associated maintenance procedures.
History SKN Electrical Services Ltd was formed initially to provide specialised rope access capability in the provision of hazardous area electrical and instrumentation equipment maintenance and inspection services. The Company was established in 2004, providing such services primarily to the oil and gas industries, to operators in the North and Irish Seas. SKN successfully achieved accreditation to the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) in 2008. Recognised by Shell Exploration as a provider for Ex E&I Equipment Maintenance and Inspection Services, SKN Electrical is registered under SAP Vendor Number 165798.
