METHODOLOGY To facilitate the analysis of the survey, Mercer presents the results in two different ways: Traditional - Jobs are compared by matching the insurance industry s role against the equivalent Mercer job classification. Job Evaluation - All positions are analyzed using a specific grading system to define the values in relation to the positions (Mercer system IPE v3.1). TOTAL REMUNERATION ANALYSIS Mercer s methodology analyzes the total remuneration in 6 levels. BASE SALARY 12 MONTHS Monthly base salary multiplied by 12 months ANNUAL BASE SALARY Base salary 12 months + Christmas bonus TOTAL ANNUAL GUARANTEED COMPENSATION Annual base salary + other guaranteed fixed allowances TOTAL ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION Total annual guaranteed cash compensation + short-term incentives TOTAL ANNUAL CASH COMPENSATION AND LONG-TERM INCENTIVES Total annual cash compensation + long-term incentives ANNUAL TOTAL REMUNERATION Annual total cash remuneration and long-term incentives + benefits and perquisites 2 WWW.IMERCER.COM
