FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EMERSON NETWORK POWER STANDARD EMAIL SIGNATURE Standardized email signature guidelines were initially implemented company wide in March of 2010 and updated in April 2013. Below are commonly asked questions regarding the Emerson Network Power email signature guidelines. For questions not addressed in this FAQ email Myra.Mash@Emerson.com or Sabrina.Donley@Emerson.com. Thank you. 1. Can I include a company and/or product brand logo or QR code in my email signature? No, logos should not be included in your email signature. Example 1 The banner ad above use to be an acceptable format but per Emerson corporate guidelines is no longer acceptable. Below are a few other examples that do not meet the Emerson Network Power email guidelines: Example 2 Employee Name Account Executive - Environmental & Site Products Emerson Network Power - Liebert Power and Cooling Business Liebert Associates of Blank 6700 Fallbrook Avenue, Suite #215 West Hills, OH 91307-3573 e mail: employeename@emerson.com

Example 3 Fname Lname Liebert Products North America Emerson Network Power 530 Westar Blvd. Westerville, OH 43082 USA T 614.841.5555 F 614.841.6022 M 614.309.5555 http://www.emersonnetworkpower Example 4 Fname Lname Title, Functional Area Center of Expertise Location 2. Can I use an acronym for Emerson Network Power or for my region or for anything else in my email signature? No, use of acronyms diminishes our brand equity and can often lead to confusion, especially when certain acronyms can stand for many things. NEVER USE ENP OR ENPS OR ANY OTHER VARIATION. Example 1 Fname Lname Marketing Director ENPS COE Racks & Solutions EMEA F +49 (0) 4444 44 4444 3. Can I include a motivational phrase such as Don t put off till tomorrow what you can do today, etc. etc.? No, the current email guidelines do not include an option for quotes or sayings. This was intentionally done since emails sent from your Emerson.com email account are not personal emails.

4. Can I make my email signature any color that I want to, boldface any content that I want to and use any size of font that I want to within my email signature? No, the guidelines were specific and request that your email is all gray (153 in each of the color boxes in the custom color grid) only your name and Emerson Network Power should be boldface. The standard font should be Arial in 8pt size. Example 1 First and Last Name Business Manager Liebert Corporation, an Emerson Network Power company Tel: (611) 888-8888 E-mail: First.Last@emerson.com www.emersonnetworkpower.com Example 2 Fname lname manager, marketing programs liebert products emerson network power 530 Westar Blvd. Westerville, OH 43082 USA p: 614.841.5555 f: 614.841.5555 c: 614.361.5555 e: fname.lname@emerson.com www.liebert.com www.emersonnetworkpower.com 5. If the business/group/region that I work for within Emerson Network Power has a Web site address that starts with (for example /EnergySystems ) do I still need to list and then also /EnergySystems in my email signature? No, you do not need to list both Web site addresses; listing /EnergySystems is all that is necessary the purpose of including the Web site address is to get customers, vendors, etc. to the main site. /EnergySystems 6. Why are you referencing EmersonNetworkPower.com when my email address says Emerson.com? The reference in the required signature is for the Emerson Network Power Web site, not your email address. Email addresses are still Emerson.com but we want customers, etc. to go to Emerson Network Power.com to view information on our company, products and services.

7. How many web addresses can I list in the email signature? You can list up to two. You must always include and it must always be listed first. Myra J. Mash Corporate Communications Manager Emerson Network Power 530 Westar Boulevard Westerville OH 43082 USA T 614.841.6565 M 614.787.6924 F 614.841.6355 www.efficientdatacenters.com Connect with Emerson Network Power on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Fname Lname Sales person Liebert Power & Cooling Emerson Network Power 610 Executive Campus Drive Westerville, OH. 43082 www.emerson.com www.liebert.com www.alber.com www.aperture.com www.avocent.com 8. If I work out of my home, do I have to list my personal home address in my email signature? No, you do not have to list your personal, home address; however an address must be included. It is recommended that you include the primary address that is associated with your name in the Emerson Global Directory, as that is supposed to be an Emerson owned address. 9. My email address is indented in my email signature why? Depending on how you inserted/created your email signature, you may have copied the indentation as well as the actual email example. Go back to your email signature and remove the indentation. Your email signature should be left justified as shown below. You can remove the indentation spaces within your email tool or copy and paste your email in to a word document then back space beside your first name, beside Emerson Network Power and each line thereafter to remove the tab. /EnergySystems 10. I see some people are using Liebert Corporation or Liebert North America as their Center of Expertise in their email signature; is this correct? No, Liebert is a product brand and should be used as an adjective to describe a product. This is consistent with how we do business cards. In the case of the email signatures, Emerson Network Power is the company, employees working for the Liebert business of Emerson Network Power should choose from either Liebert AC Power Liebert Products (if working with or selling all Liebert Centers of Expertise EXCEPT services) Liebert Products & Services (if working with all of Liebert or selling all products/services) Liebert Services Thermal Management

11. What am I supposed to put for location? Location is optional and only important when you need to specify your area of responsibility. The location identifier is your area of responsibility based on your job title, not your physical location. Example: If you are responsible for marketing in Europe, Middle East & Africa, then your location would say Europe, Middle East & Africa. If you have global responsibility then you do not need to list a location. First and Last Name Vice President, Marketing Liebert Products Europe, Middle East & Africa 12. Can I add country codes to the telephone numbers (i.e.+1 or +39)? Absolutely, if you typically list country codes on your business card, then feel free to include them in your email signature. Here is an example: First and Last Name Vice President, Marketing Liebert Products Europe, Middle East & Africa T +39 000 971 4444 M +39 000 971 4445 F +39 348 3111111 13. What is my Center of Expertise? The Centers of Expertise help customers outside of Emerson Network Power understand the area of Emerson Network Power in which you work. Here is a list of approved options: AC Power Alber Battery Monitoring ASCO Power Switching & Controls ASCO Services Avocent Products & Services Battery Monitoring Chloride Industrial Power Chloride Industrial Services Connectivity Solutions Data Center Solutions Data Center Software Solutions DC Power Electrical Reliability Services Embedded Computing Embedded Power Embedded Computing & Power (if working with both Embedded Computing & Power) Energy Systems (if both DC Power & Outside Plant) Firetrol Pumps & Controllers High Voltage Maintenance Hyperscale Solutions Industrial Power Industrial Services Industrial Systems (covers multiple COEs) Infrastructure Management & Monitoring (Liebert and Avocent) Knurr Racks & Integrated Solutions Liebert AC Power

Liebert Products (if working with all Liebert Centers of Expertise EXCEPT services) Liebert Products & Services (if working with all of Liebert) Liebert Services Outside Plant Power Switching & Controls Pumps & Controllers Racks & Integrated Solutions Services (if multiple services) Surge Protection Telecom Services Thermal Management First and Last Name Title, Functional Area ASCO Power Switching & Controls Location (if applicable) T +39 000 971 4444 M +39 000 971 4445 F +39 348 3111111 14.
