ITD 112 Designing Web Page Graphics UCourse Outcomes At the completion of this course, the student should be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of image resolution, image size, and image file format for web, video, and print. Be able to identify elements of the Photoshop CC user interface and demonstrate knowledge of their functions. Demonstrate knowledge of layers and masks. Demonstrate knowledge of importing, exporting, organizing, and saving. Demonstrate knowledge of producing and reusing images. Demonstrate knowledge of working with selections. Demonstrate use Photoshop guides and rulers. Be able to Transform images. Understand how to Adjust or correct the tonal range, color, or distortions of an image. Topical Description: (Outline chapters and sections to be covered in the book and MyGraphicsLab) Photoshop CC o Set Project Requirements Manage your audience Follow Copyright Rules Manage the Project o Getting to know the Work Area Open Photoshop Files Select and use some of the tool in the Tool Panel Set options for a selected tool using the options bar Use various methods to zoom in and out from an image Select, rearrange, and use panels Choose commands in panel and context menus Open and use a panel docked in the panel well Undo actions to correct mistakes or to make different choices Customize the Workspace o Basic Photo Corrections Understand image resolution and size Open and edit an image in Camera Raw Adjust the tonal range of an image Straighten and crop an image Paint over a color with the Color Replacement tool Adjust the saturation of isolated areas of an image using the Sponge tool Use the Clone Stamp tool to eliminate an unwanted part of an image Use the Spot Healing Brush tool to repair part of an image Use content-aware Patch tool to remove blemishes Apply Unsharp Mask filter to finish retouching photos Save an image file for use in a page layout application o Working with Selections Make specific areas of an image active using selection tools
