Understanding and Using Telephone Templates Each telephone has an electronic template, which is assigned to the phone. The template allows you to personalize your phone: adding, moving, or configuring soft keys. Use the following table to understand the terms used throughout this document: Term Soft Key DND VM Pickup Free/None Spaces BLF Description Display on your screen and change, depending on your task or template settings. Do Not Disturb Send all calls to voicemail Voicemail Speed Dial to check Voicemail messages Allows you to pickup a call ringing on another phone. Programmable spaces for Speed Dial, Speedial/Xfers, etc. Busy Lamp Field Allows you to monitor the status of another user, also acts as a speed dial. There are three types of telephone templates for the Aastra 6737i: Term Description Starts on Page Basic Basic templates are relevant to users that are not in a call center or expansion Pg. 2 module. Most users will use the basic templates available. Expansion Module Exp Templates allow for 40 extra BLFs through a module attached to your Pg. 11 telephone. You can choose a LED module or a paper insert module. Call Center CC Templates are for users apart of a call center should use these templates, to include the ACD softkey, which allows the user to answer call center calls. Basic With a basic template, you can choose your soft keys that are relevant to most telephone users.
