P H O T O G R A P H E R My work as a photographer and as a legal researcher has always been closely intertwined. I always put the persons at the center of my pictures, trying to catch some moments of their daily life and reveal the context and the situation surrounding them. Above all, i want to talk about their humanity. Since 2003; I have been building an extensive collection of images on Palestine based on a long-term perspective. I try to explore life under military occupation and what are the consequences of the conflict on people and on landscape. I focus my work on Palestinian children, the Wall and its impact on Palestinians, refugees and displaced persons as well as non-violent resistance to occupation. More recently I have also developed an interest for Bedouin communities on both sides of the Wall. I have also taught groups of children the art of photography and curated their photo exhibitions. I have developped a programme called Images for Life in Aida refugee camp where the goal is to empower Palestinians, especially refugees, through media. Since 2006, I have been a member of Activestills, a group of photographers who believe in photography as a tool for social change and regularly organises street photo exhibitions in Israel and elsewhere. 2008 First Photo Prize of international competition «Expressions of Nakba» http://expressionsofnakba.org/gallery/entrance SPECIALITIES Documentary photography, photo stories, awareness campaigns.
