PROJECT OVERVIEW
Objectives Support for Local Authority Pavement Condition Information Systems..to support local highways authorities in their use of information technology to deliver their road service. Help all stakeholders to perceive stability, consistency and commitment in the development of UKPMS and SCANNER
UK Roads Board requirements - Appoint a team to: Promote the use of PMS and SCANNER in local authorities Support commercial suppliers in the implementation of future UKPMS and SCANNER specifications Support industry in the development of other data sources and their interface with PMS
UK Roads Board objectives Appoint a team to: Promote the use of transport asset condition data through pavement information technologies within local highway authorities and their contractors Oversee the accreditation, quality assurance and audit of pavement information technologies Develop and implement the UKPMS and SCANNER core specifications

Our overall achievement We believe we have done a good job, overall, and delivered the specified outputs where possible BUT the project was prevented from delivering the transformational change that was really wanted BECAUSE the funding for further development work was not provided through other projects or contracts as had been planned - therefore: Everything was in place to deliver transformational change for UKPMS had funding for the further development work been made available
