Wind power plants, along with their numerous components, represent a huge investment and having to restore a wind power plant may therefore be a financial disaster for the owners, operators and insurance companies alike. Wind power plants represent extremely harsh environments, as they are subjected to many different types of disturbances like lightning, vibrations, electrical environments, etc. To avoid production losses and having to make financial investments, a sound fire detection system is of immense importance. A wind power plant represents the following risk factors: concentration of ignition sources within the nacelle increases the risk for lightning strikes; unmanned operation; no possibility for firefighters to stop the fire as the construction is too high; remote locations, which sometimes make it very difficult to reach, for example, offshore installations; and unwanted alarms, which may cause substantial production losses. Therefore, CN System offers state of the art fire detection systems developed to reach the highest flexibility possible in respect to detection, control and communication including the possibility to adapt the system s sensitivity to the actual installation. The system is prepared to interface with automatic fire extinguishing systems, ARC detectors, aspiration systems, monitoring signals from pressure switches etc. The system has been developed to be easy to maintain. The modularity and the small design make it perfect for installation in narrow spaces as well as in retrofit projects. It is also prepared for network installations. Individually adapted The fire detection system is a modular-based analogue addressable Fire Detection System. The modularity makes it possible to configure a system that matches your needs in the most cost optimized way. User friendly The control panel is designed for simple and intuitive control. Different colours in the display help to maintain the user s focus, and the auto adjustable backlight ensures optimal visibility whatever the light conditions. Maximum safety Every module is independent, allowing component replacements without affecting the rest of the detection system. Other safety features are built-in redundancy, optimal distributed system design and a control panel interface giving maximum clarity in case of alarm or an emergency situation. Superior reliability Powerful loop system using FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) as a communication method together with a range of detectors makes your installation immune against interferences and unwanted alarms are kept to the absolute minimum. Control/Repeater Panel M 4,3 The Control/Repeater Panel M 4.3 is a control panel with a 4.3" graphical colour display used to manage and supervise a system. Control/Repeater Panel M 4.3 mounts on any flat surface independently from a fire alarm cabinet. Control/Repeater Panel M 4.3 is equipped with communication buses for connecting to the system. Several different configurations can be downloaded to the central unit, giving the possibility to choose a specific configuration for the wind power plant. System design Different types of modules can be connected to the central unit thereby customizing the system for the actual need. Loop MX A wide range of detectors and devices can be connected to the loop module. In addition to this, the communication interface of the loop units is based on FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) modulation, which has proven outstanding performances in harsh electrical environments. Surge Prot M Surge Prot M provide following main features; protected input for power supply, connection of repeater/controller and short circuit protection for repeater/ controllers. The functions could be used together or individually. I/O 70/700 Module I/O 70/700 is an I/O module with eight identical and programmable input/output channels. Use the I/O as an input module or to monitor, control and or supply units such as alarm devices, extinguishing systems, magnets etc. Maximum output current per channel is 700mA for I/O 700 and 70mA for I/O 70. Bus Isolator M Bus Isolator M divides the system backbone bus into segments. Its dual functionality isolates communications and basic backup signals between the stretched system parts and provides power to the control panel (e.g. Control Panel M 4.3). BusCon M 20 The BusCon M 20 connects the Control Panel M 4.3 to the backbone bus and provides connection terminals for functions from Control Panel M 4.3. Detector detector is designed to give early warning for the presence of heat and smoke in the supervised area. The detector offers high protection against unwanted alarms. Flame Detector IR flame detector with dual IR (Infra-Red) wavelength sensors offer high protection against unwanted alarms. The dual IR Flame detector is suitable in harsh environments.
