Students should note that UL Lafayette limits to 60 credit hours (or 50% of degree total) the number of transfer credits from a community or junior college that can be applied to a baccalaureate degree. Students should be aware that there are problems in some instances in establishing "level equivalency," particularly in view of the UL LAFAYETTE graduation requirement of a minimum of 45 credit (semester) hours in junior- and senior-level courses as well as requirements of some accrediting agencies. For an * by a 300 or 400 level UL LAFAYETTE course, please note the following: All students are required to complete at least 45 credit (semester) hours in advanced level courses, i.e., 300-400 level. UL LAFAYETTE will recognize course credits from regionally accredited two/four-year institutions at the level at which they were taught at the credit-granting institution. In the case of course-level differences between two and four-year institutions, UL LAFAYETTE accepts those listed in this document as equivalent (the student does not have to repeat the content), but UL LAFAYETTE does not count these credits as part of the 45 credit hour upper-level requirement in all degrees.
