The syllabus is closely based on the Pensions Regulator s Guidance for Trustee Knowledge and Understanding (Defined Benefit schemes with associated Defined Contribution arrangements) and the Pension Regulator s Foundation Indicative Syllabus. Our two day residential revision seminar is aimed primarily at helping delegates to demonstrate the skills needed to pass the examination, as well as updating and consolidating their TKU. The emphasis is on active participation via exercises and informal, lively discussion, leading up to a specially arranged sitting of the PMI APT examination at the end of the course. In recent years, the seminar has attracted very favourable comments from delegates and the pass rates achieved have been consistently high. Support with The Pensions Regulator s Toolkit The Pensions Regulator offers online training for Trustees via its toolkit. Aon Hewitt is able to offer support sessions for Trustee groups to work with them to complete the training. This is scheme specific and can be arranged for a whole Trustee board to attend. Training takes place at our offices with all Trustees given online access to the Pensions Regulator s toolkit.
