This forms a combined phenotype. Punnett Squares can be used to predict the genotype and phenotype of an offspring. They use dominant and recessive traits to predict the offsprings physical and genetic characteristics. These traits are combined to form gene pairs. In a punnett squares, the dominant trait is always going to overpower the recessive trait. This is not always the case in real life.
