New Life Bible Institute Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ): WHO? Who should attend the New Life Bible Institute? Anyone who wants the tools and knowledge to share God s plan for salvation will benefit from New Life. Is this only for people who want to go on missions? All interested students are welcome whether their interest is in missionary service abroad, or in sharing the gospel in the midst of their daily lives. Do I have to be 18? No. Students of any age are welcome to attend. Note that depending on the courses you attend, some classes may be held as late as 8:45 to 9:30pm. All classes are held on Tuesdays or Thursday nights. Are there any academic criteria to get in? Do I need any prior education or testing? No. The only requirement for New Life is the desire to study the Word of God. No one who earnestly wants to be a part of the program is turned away.
WHAT? What is the New Life Bible Institute? New Life is a tuition free missionary training school with 5 locations in the Philadelphia area. We teach the Word of God to laymen, men and women, boys and girls, ministers, workers, and missionaries, so that they may be equipped to share God s message at home and abroad. Is this an Accredited School? Who are the teachers? We are accredited by the Evangelical Training Association. http://www.etaworld.org/ Successful graduates will be awarded a Certificate in Evangelical Training. Teachers are themselves graduates of New Life or of Seminary programs. Are there homework and tests? Yes. We want to ensure students are not leaning on their own understanding, and that we are in one accord in our teaching and beliefs. Proverbs 3:5 (KJV): Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. What are the classes like? The types of classes include study & teaching techniques, bible study, missions information, and ethics training. Each class is about 45 minutes in length. What are the expectations of me as a student? Generally, we ask that you attend and participate in all courses you sign up for. There is also a short chapel service on each night of classes that all students must attend. Please review the student handbook for more information on this. What is Chapel? Chapel is a short service held every class night. It provides a chance to share announcements, for the students and staff to pray together, and to spend some time worshipping God.
WHERE? Where is the New Life Bible Institute? New Life is administered by Macedonia Ministries, 2633 Hillcrest Avenue, Norristown, PA 19401. The classes are held at the First Presbyterian Church in Norristown. Class location: First Presbyterian Church 113 East Airy Street Norristown, PA 19401 Is there parking? Yes. First Presbyterian Church offers free parking. Don t worry, you won t have to parallel park or pay a meter. Is the building wheelchair accessible? Yes, the class location is wheelchair accessible. WHEN? What time are classes? Classes are typically held between 6:30pm and 9:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Your schedule may bring you to New Life for just 45 minutes on one night or as much as all 3 hours on both days of the week. When are classes? Classes follow the traditional spring and fall semesters of educational institutions. No classes are held during the summer in our campus. There are also Spring and Winter breaks. What is the deadline for registration? We can take your registration any time of the year. The last date to register for a particular semester will be listed online under our calendar. Generally, Fall registration runs from July through August and Spring registration runs from October through December. How long does it take? Classes can be completed in as little as 3 years or you can take as long as you need.
WHY? Why should I attend New Life Bible Institute? The purpose of New Life is to equip students with the knowledge and training to share the gospel at home or abroad. You can gain the tools and courage to share God s plan for salvation to the unsaved people in your life. If you re interested in missions, New Life will prepare you for and connect you with missionary resources and opportunities. Why do I need to share the gospel? Jesus Christ asked us to. In Matthew 28:16-20 (KJV) He said to His disciples: Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always even unto the end of the world. Amen.
HOW? How much does it cost? Tuition is free. There is no cost for the classes. Students will be responsible only for the cost of books or supplies. How do you afford to provide this training for free? All teachers and administrators provide their time for free. We have committed to providing this free training based on Matthew 10:8b, freely ye have received, freely give. Macedonia Ministries provides the administration for free and partners with First Presbyterian to provide low cost facilities. Optionally funds may be provided by offerings taken during Chapel service or special events, gifts to the school by individuals and various institutions and church support. If donations are received, 10% of all funds the school receives go to a missionary that each campus chooses. Gifts to faculty and staff at Christmas time and/or the end of the school year may be provided according to the availability of funds. How do I sign up?
