Registration: Registration will take place on Saturday, January 18 from 4 p.m.- 10 p.m. AND Sunday, January 19 from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Northern Quest Resort & Casino. There will be an area set up for the USA Boxing National Championships Tournament Staff to check- All athletes must bring a copy or photo of original certified U.S. birth certificate or U.S. government issued passport to registration. Bout Minimum: Athlete must have the minimum number of bouts listed below in order to compete. Walkovers and/or unopposed wins do not count towards the bout minimum rule. Elite Men: 21 bouts Elite Women: 5 bouts Citizenship Required: U.S. Citizenship is required of all athlete participants in the tournament. A copy or photo of your U.S. birth certificates and/or U.S. government issued passport is required in order to compete. All athletes must bring a copy or photo of original certified U.S. birth certificate or U.S. government issued passport to registration. Permanent residency is no longer sufficient. Age Determination Date: ELITE: Athletes in the Elite age division must be between the ages of 19-40 in calendar year of 2014. The general weigh- in will be held at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. ALL ATHLETES MUST BE PRESENT. The tournament draw will take place immediately following the General Weigh- in on Sunday, January 19. The tournament draw will be held at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. Each tournament participant (Boxers, Coaches, Officials, Physicians, Tournament Administration, etc.) must be registered with USA Boxing for the 2014 membership year, and have proof of registration (Red Book/Blue Book). Coaches and Officials must be currently USA Boxing certified to work and all officials must submit an Officials Referral Form signed by the LBC president and Chief of Officials. Page 2 of 7

Conduct & Discipline: Trial Scale: Equipment: U.S. Anti- Doping Agency: Early Arrival: Athlete Paperwork: Individuals deemed guilty of misconduct will be immediately barred from all tournament facilities and required to leave at their own expense. All participants must adhere to the USA Boxing Code of Conduct, which must be signed and turned in upon event registration. A trial scale will be available at various times throughout the tournament. The times will be posted by the event officials during Registration. USA Boxing will provide competition gloves and headgear (if needed). All other items (tape, gauze, foul- proof cups, breast protectors, form- fitted mouthpieces, uniforms, sponges, water bottles, etc.) must be provided by the participants. All headgear must be made to USA Boxing/AIBA specifications, if the athlete wants to wear his/her own. The 2014 USA Boxing National Championships will be a USADA tested event. Athletes competing in the Championship Finals on Saturday, January 25 will go through the USADA testing process. Athletes and coaches who arrive in Spokane, WA prior to the registration day will be responsible for finding their own training facilities. Tournament Rules Implemented for the 2014 USA Boxing National Championships Please note that the following rules, along with those listed in the Technical and Competition Rulebooks, will be enforced at the USA Boxing National Championships. TECHNICAL RULES RULE 5. 5.1. Medical Certification 5.1.1. As of January 1, 2014 all boxers registered in USA Boxing must have an initial medical examination, to be repeated annually, and recorded in a valid up- to- date Competition Record Book in which such Boxer must be certified as fit to box by a qualified Medical Doctor. 5.1.1.1. A qualified Medical Doctor is a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). The valid up- to- date Competition Record Book must be signed by the doctor performing the examination. COMPETITION RULES RULE 2. CLASSIFICATION OF BOXERS 2.1. Age Classification 2.1.1. The age of a Boxer is determined using his/her year of birth. 2.1.3. Men and Women Boxers between the ages of 19 to 40 are categorized as Elite and Senior Boxers. APPENDIX D 1. VEST AND SHORTS/SKIRT SPECIFICATIONS 1.1. Red and blue uniforms, in conjunction with the assigned corner, will be required for all USA Boxing regional and National Competitions. 1.1.1. No nicknames or phrases will be permitted on the competition uniform. 1.1.2. Boxers are permitted to have last name screen printed or embroidered onto the back of the vest. 1.1.3. No adornment may be affixed to the trunks such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. 1.1.4. Boxers (male/female) must wear a sleeveless athletic shirt (singlet or jersey), of a different color from the waistband of the trunks. 1.1.5. Sponsor and/or club logos will be permitted on competition uniform. Slogans must be a part of the sponsor and/or club logo to be included on the competition uniform. 1.2. Boxers must wear a pair of loose- fitting trunks that reach halfway down the thigh, no lower than the knees. The trunks must provide a waistband of a different color than the athletic shirt. 1.2.1. Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached and therefore able to flap with the 1.2.2. Boxers are permitted to have their last name embroidered onto competition trunks as long as it is a different color from the competition vest. 1.2.3. Male Boxers are not permitted to wear skirts. 1.3. Boxers are not permitted to wear additional apparel other than the competition uniform into the ring or upon completion of the Bout while in the ring, before the announcement of the winner. 1.4. If USA Boxing provides competition uniforms for event finals, those competition uniforms must be worn by all Boxers. 1.5. No tape of any kind will be permitted on the competition uniform. RULE 21. GLOVES 21.1. The construction of the gloves shall be in accordance with the specifications approved by USA Boxing and shall have the USA Boxing or AIBA label in each glove. 21.2. Indemnification. The manufacturer shall indemnify and hold USA Boxing harmless from and against any Page 5 of 7

arising out of any lawsuits filed against said manufacturer regarding product liability. 21.3. In all USA Boxing National Competitions Boxers must use gloves manufactured by one of the AIBA Official Boxing Equipment Licensees. 21.3.1. In all Affiliated Organizations, LBC and regional competitions Boxers must use gloves that are AIBA or USA Boxing approved. 21.4.1. For LBC and regional competitions event organizers may use previously purchased gloves that may adhere to the above rule. 21.4.2. All solid red and blue gloves will be mandatory for all USA Boxing sanctioned events by January 1, 2015. 21.5. In all USA Boxing Competitions, gloves have to be provided by the event organizer and have to be approved by the Supervisor. Boxers will not be allowed to wear their own gloves. 21.6. Boxers must put on their gloves before entering the ring. 21.7. Gloves must be taken off immediately after the Bout is over and before the decision is announced. 21.8. The padding of the gloves must not be displaced or broken. 21.9. Only clean and serviceable gloves must be used. 21.9.1. All Gloves must be cleaned using 10% bleach solution before they are used again. 21.10. Specifications 21.10.1. For USA Boxing Elite Men Competitions: 21.10.1.1. Ten (10) oz gloves must be used from the Light Flyweight (49 kg) category to the Light Welterweight (64 kg) category. 21.10.1.2. Twelve (12) oz gloves must be used for the Welterweight (69 kg) category to Super Heavyweight (+91 kg) category. 21.10.2. For all other USA Boxing Competitions: 21.10.2.1. Ten (10) oz gloves must be used. 21.10.3. Detailed specifications on gloves can be found in Glove Specifications and Guidelines (Appendix E). RULE 22. HEADGEAR 22.1.1. SA Boxing National Competitions. 22.1.2. Headgear will be provided by the event organizer and will be approved by the Supervisor for all USA Boxing National Championships. Boxers may be permitted to provide their own headgear as long as it meets the approved specifications and approved by the Supervisor. Athletes and Coaches: NEW SYSTEM OF NOMINATION TO THE NATIONAL TEAM BEGINS AT THIS TOURNAMENT. We will have a National Champion and runner-up at the end of this tournament. But, in order to be considered for selection to the 2014 USA Boxing National Team as an athlete or a coach and receive the benefits associated with that selection; you will need to fill out a complete packet of information and turn in a number of items. This packet is separate from registering for the tournament and all forms will be available at all weighins. It is highly recommended that you pick-up this information during registration and get it filled out and turned in as soon as possible. It is due at 6:55am on the morning of Semifinals, but can be turned in to the high performance staff at any time they are available prior to the deadline. 1. Signed original letter of intent to be nominated to the 2014 USA Boxing National Team. 2. A signed original USA Boxing Code of conduct. This can be found on the USA Boxing Website. 3. A valid US Passport that does not expire before November 1 st of 2016. This is the Olympics you are training for; have a passport that can take you there. 4. 4 additional passport photos. These will be stored in the USA Boxing High Performance Office and used when we apply for visas for entry to various foreign nations. They can be obtained at any UPS Store or FedEx Office, and most US Post Office locations in the USA. 5. A completed and signed AIBA medical form. USA Boxing requires and annual medical exam. AIBA requires this be updated every 3 months. This form can be taken with you to your doctor to perform the exam and fill out the form. This form is available on the USA Boxing Website. 6. AIBA Passbook. This is a new requirement for 2014 and they are provided with your 2014 membership from USA Boxing. 7. Completed Olympic Training Center paperwork. This will be available at the High Performance Team desk during the tournament check- in and general weigh- in. 8. Completed and signed Athlete and Coach Bio forms. 9. Completed and signed Sizing information. 10. Promo photo will be taken for each semifinalist after semi- final weigh- in. Packets will be available to athletes and coaches at general check-in and weigh-ins from January 18-23, and also at the high performance desk located in the venue until 30 minutes after each session. Packets will be checked out and there will only be 1 (one) made available to each athlete. If you need to replace the packet, there will be a $5.00 fee to cover additional printing costs. Page 7 of 7
