Van Pelt Interim Management and Consult BV Soldius BV Chief financial officer and vice president Soldius develops, manufactures and sells on a worldwide level mobile solar chargers for mobile devices like cell phones, PDA s and mp3-player (Apple Ipod). Visted with the ceo several prospects in Korea (Samsung Electronics), India (governmental departments), Germany, Canada and the USA. Soldius was discussing and even preparing an IPO (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP, incentive program). Total equity of 1.0 million was provided by an equity fund and a private investor. Within 2 years time the company went bankrupt as the American distributor was not able to meet his commitments (5 years contract with a value of 200 million). UPC Europe (headquarters) The newly appointed vice president Customer Care asked me to assist her in designing, and partly implementing, the European Customer Care policy and the associated management reporting system. Member of the due diligence team to investigate the customer care activities of Corus, the largest cable operator of Ireland, which UPC acquired. In close collaboration with UPC France and NOOS (the largest cable operator of France which was acquired by UPC) executed a study to investigate the need to outsource CC activities. Mediakabel BV, Cappelle a/d IJssel In the beginning of 2004 I finished a project concerning the reposition of Mediakabel in order to meet the new requirements for cable operators and telcos. Mediakabel currently operates a digital platform for all main Dutch cable operators (e.g. Essent, UPC, Casema). The main service provided by Mediakabel is signal distribution for TV, radio and NVOD. The cable operators wanted to expand their product portfolio to e.g. streaming video for the telcos. Financial manager ad interim (1998-1998) Mediakabel is a joint venture of 10 CATV-distributors, offering pay television and internet services. In depth review of business plan for the joint venture Day-to-day business management of finance and accounting department Denimpex BV Consultant Worldwide operating export and import wholesale company of fruits and vegetables. Advise the board on organization and management and acted as a sparring partner. Visited several operations in China, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia with director in order to close contracts. MediaConversions BV Interim management and consultancy Director and shareholder, company converts home videos to DVD-layers for Dutch retailers like HEMA. SHL BV, Utrecht Interim manager Finance, HR, IT, Facilities Saville Holdsworth Limited (SHL, listed on the stock exchange in London, and operating worldwide) provides HR-consultancy, assessments and IT-tools for recruitment and development of employees. In close collaboration with the SHL Europe and in a 4 months period we restructured SHL NL from approx. 60 to 30 employees. Financial administration was both US GAAP and Ducth GAAP. 1998-2000 Blokker BV Manager Finance Retail chain (household goods and luxurious articles) and wholesale in Netherlands, Germany, Belgium. TPG provides services in more than 200 countries. TPG is the world's first publicly traded company with roots in the postal business.
