Professor Mike Walsh Program Director "Flinders is one of Australia s leading universities for the study of visual media. It has a long list of graduates working in the film, television, computer games, and visual effects industries as well as arts administration and education. The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Digital Media) assumes that digitally-based media including film and video production, animation and other multimedia packages involve more than just the mastery of software. The course includes production work along with studies of the history and theory of image production in the cinema and other media. The course is based on the idea that employers look for graduates who have creative ideas on how to use new media, and can put those ideas into action." Screen Production Exercise Sharing of our graduates Brian Maxwell Graduate 2013-14, Recipient of Flinders Digital Media Prize 2014 "I truly enjoy the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Digital Media) Program from Flinders University. Ringo Chu Graduate 2013-14, Best Commencing Student 2013 "This program provided me with great learning experiences and opportunities to explore creative arts in different areas, which helped me develop my career. The lecturers and tutors were very nice and kind. They were all willing to help us with problem solving and share their experiences with us. Also we could gather different ideas from lecturers, tutors and classmates which was good for creation. Besides, the school organised different co-curricular activities which enriched our school life and social connections." Student activity co-led by Australian and local academics and staff (FILMART Visit) April Hon Graduate 2011-12, Best Commencing Student 2011 "In this program, I have learnt more about the film industry and have lots of individual and group practices. There are also topics about 3D animation and multimedia design, which allow me to learn more technical skills in these areas. This is good for students who have basic concepts about creative media and want to get more in-depth knowledge about it. Lecturers are kind and they try to communicate with us in straightforward ways, so we have no problems communicating with them." Students enjoy inspiring interactions with Australian professors
