Applying online for the Early Childhood Education Online Associate or Bachelor Degree Programs Begin by entering this URL in your web browser http://admissions.uc.edu/apply If you have not attended any college or university click on - Entering college directly from high school If you have attended some college classes or have a college degree click on Transfer student
If you have applied for a different UC program in the past, or this program in a previous term, input your Username and Password. If you have forgotten your Password or Username clicking on the Forgot options will result in the information being sent to you by email. If you are beginning your first UC application, click on Create New Account.
To begin your application, type in all required information. An * indicates that the information is required. If you miss a required box and click on Submit, that box will be highlighted. You cannot move forward to the next step until all required boxes have been completed. Reset will clear all boxes and you can begin again. Once all required information is correct, click on Submit.
The basic information you have submitted will display and you will then complete a series of screens of required information. As each screen is completed, click on Save & Continue.
If you have attended college or are currently attending classes, enter information in any or all of the three boxes and the system will search for your college. If the system does not find a match it will accept the information you supply. You need to complete an entry for each college you have attended.
If you are currently taking high school or college classes, click Add to complete the information for each class. If you are not currently enrolled in classes, or have added all classes that you are currently taking, click Save and Continue When you complete the Educational Plans screen be sure to mark both the term you wish to begin, and full or part time enrollment. Summer Quarter begins June 18, 2012 Fall Semester begins August 27, 2012 Spring Semester begins January 2013
Your Career Objective is Pre-school teaching. You now need to select your Major by clinking on Add A Major
Your classes will all be online but the Early Childhood Birthto- 5 program is associated with the Main Campus. Click on Uptown (Main) Campus.
Both of the Early Childhood Online majors are listed under E in the alphabetical Program Listing. Click on E to go to the listing.
Highlight the Early Childhood Education - Distance Learning box if you are applying for the Associate Degree Highlight the Early Childhood Birth to Age 5 Distance Learning box if you are applying for the Bachelor Degree
Check all your selections and make sure they are as you wish. If you list more than one program, be sure the programs are in the order you want. A Program Choice 1 means this is your first choice. Once you have verified your program click on Save and Continue.
Now certify that all the information you have supplied is true and correct by clicking on Yes. Then click on Save & Continue.
Check over each section of your application and print a copy when you are satisfied that you have included all necessary content. If you did not have some of the needed information with you, you can always Logout and return to complete your application later. The information you have supplied so far will be saved.
You are about to finalize your application. Please notice that neither of the Early Childhood Education online programs has an application fee. Simply click Finalize and Continue. Remember that your application is not complete until UC has received your official transcripts for high school, your GED verification if you completed high school with a GED, your college transcripts and your letters of recommendation. Transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope from the school or university.
