Sorting references You can sort the references according to different criteria. 22

Grouping references 1. From the top menu, select Groups Create Group 2. Give a name to the group created 24
Grouping references 3. Select a reference. Then drag and drop it to a group. (You may assign a reference to more than one group.) 25
Grouping references (Smart Group) 1. From the top menu, select Groups Create Smart Group 2. Enter the group name and grouping criteria. Then click Create. 26

Obtain more referencing styles EndNote offers more than 6,000 referencing styles for download on its website. http://endnote.com/downloads/styles Some journal publishers also provide the EndNote referencing style files for their journals for download. E.g. http://authorservices.wiley.com/jendnotes/ The downloaded referencing style files have to be put into the EndNote style folder in local computer. (Default location: C:\Program Files\EndNote X7\Styles) 39

EndNote Library You may have more than one EndNote library for different purposes. E.g. one for each research project However, once you cite from one library in a Word document, you cannot easily change. 47
Author names There are different ways to enter author names for a reference.
