Emerson Process Management brings the Life Sciences industries an unprecedented opportunity to reduce the time to market through the PlantWeb Architecture. Our sanitary valves are designed to satisfy the stringent demands of the pharmaceutical and otechnology industries. lves are available with < 35 Ra microinch (0.89 Micron) ectropolished internal surfaces as standard or optional <20 microinch (0.51 Ra micron) electropolished internals. f-draining designs make them well suited for CIP/SIP plications. ME-BPE Class I, II or III seals have been incorporated to tisfy a broad range of aseptic applications. Valves are machined 316L stainless steel with tri-clamp or optional buttweld ends. Continuous sterile steam applications with temperatures up to 350 o F can be accommodated. 4
Combining Flow Control Technology to provide the right valve... for the right application... for the right results. Sanitary and Aseptic Valves B aumann Sanitary valves are a different breed; superior flow control, high rangeability, and compact size designed to meet the stringent demands of today's state-ofthe-art Life Science facilities. Polished, stainless steel body and trim components ensure efficient cleaning and sanitizing giving you confidence that your processing environment produces the highest purity. And, as an added benefit, the ability to use the FIELDVUE Digital Valve Controller means that your sanitary valves can become a proactive component of your process validation protocols. 5
83000 Sanitary Angle Control Valves This sanitary control valve is excellent for the control of high purity fluids and gases. A low friction force amplification mechanism, comprised of a roller bearing cartridge, produces high positioning resolution. Precision Low Flow Control Flow rates of 0.001 to 6 liters per minute. 1/2 inch size Tri-clamp end connections standard with optional welded connections Force Amplification Mechanism Wetted interior finished to </= 35 Ra Microinch (optional </= 20 Ra Microinch) Self-draining design for effective CIP and SIP Closure diaphragm is polished 316L stainless steel Quick-disconnect bonnet aids closure diaphragm replacement FLOW Vacuum Spring (Optional) Body O-Ring Diaphragm The control gap between the 316L diaphragm and valve body varies between 0.007 to 0.015 inches. Therefore, the 83000 should only be used with low viscosity clean liquids containing no particulates. 6
87000 Flexsleev Sanitary Valves Highly recommended for fluid containing particulates or mild slurries and for glucose. This valve features packless construction, high rangeability, modified linear flow characteristics and is self-draining. Meets CIP/SIP requirements. Unlike diaphragm valves, operation is not affected by vacuum. Precision Low Flow Control Flows 0.8 to 9 liters per minute. 1/2 inch Tri-clamp end connections standard with optional welded connections Wetted interior finished to </= 35 Ra Microinch (optional </= 20 Ra Microinch) Self-draining design for effective CIP and SIP (Recommended mounting for selfdraining, see picture) FLOW Choice of VMQ (silicone), FKM (Fluorocarbon), or EPDM elastomers meet FDA 21CFR 177 and USP 24 Class VI. OPEN CLOSED Maximum control gap between sleeve and valve body is 0.075 inches Valve Open Position Valve Closed Position 7
84000 1" In-Line and Angle Sanitary Control Valves The unique low friction force amplification mechanism assures accurate and repeatable positioning of the flexible closure diaphragm to achieve unparalleled flow control not possible with typical weir style valves. 1 inch in-line or angle configuration Tri-clamp end connections standard with optional welded connections Wetted interior finished to </= 35 Ra Microinch (</= 20 Ra Microinch, optional) Self-draining design for effective CIP and SIP Closure diaphragm meet FDA 21CFR 177 and USP 24 Class VI Force Amplification Mechanism The in-line design is suitable for tank to tank media transfer without need for piping elbows. 1 Angle Valve Design FLOW 8
84000 Angle Sanitary Control Valves This sanitary control valve is designed for flow rates of 1-500 liters per minute. A unique low friction force amplification mechanism, similar to our 83000 roller bearing linkage, produces high positioning resolution. 1-1/2 inch & 2 inch sizes Tri-clamp end connections standard with optional buttweld connections Wetted interior finished to </= 35 Ra Microinch (optional </= 20 Ra Microinch) Self-draining design for effective CIP and SIP PTFE or EPDM closure diaphragm meet FDA 21CFR 177 and USP 24 Class VI FLOW Intelligent PlantWeb field devices, such as Baumann valves with FIELDVUE DVCs (Fisher Digital Valve Controllers), provide ritical information not only about the devices but the process s well. 9
89000 Modulating Sanitary Valves Particularly suited for the continuous control of sterile steam and high purity water. Flow rates up to 4500 liters per minute. 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/2", 2", 3", 4", and 6" sizes Tri-clamp end connection standard with optional welded connections, ISO Clamps, and others Wetted interior finished to </= 35 Ra Microinch, (optional </= 20 Ra Microinch) Self-draining design for effective CIP and SIP Stainless steel yoke and actuator construction standard All parts that contact media are made of corrosion resistant 316L stainless steel Choice of EPDM or VMQ (silicon) elastomers meet FDA 21CFR 177 and USP 24 Class VI. 10
Sanitary Resistance Plates Baumann sanitary resistance plates are multi hole single stage, energy absorption devices suitable for reducing aerodynamic noise and cavitation. Each plate is custom designed by Baumann's engineering staff to fit the application. Typically installed downstream of control valves to absorb a portion of the total system pressure drop. Also installed on pump recirculating loops and at the inlet port of vessels operating at atmospheric pressure. Available 1 to 6 inch Self draining when installed in vertical pipe line PlantWeb is the first proven digital plant architecture, delivering the future of process automation today. Grown from a network of predictive intelligence and integrated software, PlantWeb delivers reduced project risk and better operations. FIELDVUE DVC2000 Digital Valve Controller FIELDVUE Digital Valve Controllers open a window to the process by giving a view of the valve s actual position and operating characteristics as well as diagnostics of the entire valve assembly and instrument. Plant personnel can now make betterinformed decisions, leading to increased availability, reduced variability, process optimization, increased throughput and enhanced product quality. By using the power of intelligent devices, you can dramatically reduce your capital and engineering expenses, as well as ongoing operations and maintenance costs. You now have the opportunity to revolutionize the way you manage your plant. FIELDVUE DVC6000f Digital Valve Controller HART Handheld Communicator 11
