INSTOCK for Android This user guide describes how to use the TireCheck INSTOCK app on the Android platform. The INSTOCK app enables you to track and manage tire stock efficiently and effectively. This document describes how to: Set a context Pair the app with the Flexigauge and RFID reader Create tires Assign RFID tags to existing tires Search for tires using the RFID reader Regroove tires Repair tires Transfer tires Turn tires on rim Inspect tires Important: To ensure users get maximum performance, TireCheck recommends using a mobile phone with working Internet connection, camera and Android operating system of version 4.4.0 or higher. The INSTOCK app is compatible with the Flexigauge and the RFID reader RFD 8500E.
INSTOCK for Android 2 SET A CONTEXT Set a service center context when using the INSTOCK app to view available stock at that service center. 1. Tap Menu on the top-left corner. 2. Tap to select the service center where the operations take place. Note: The last selected service center remains selected until the user changes the selection. 3. Select a stock area. 4. Select a company and fleet. PAIR THE APP WITH THE RFID READER AND THE FLEXIGAUGE Pair the RFID reader using Bluetooth settings on your device. Pair the Flexigauge using the INSTOCK app. PAIR THE APP WITH THE RFID READER 1. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the RFID reader to enable Bluetooth. 2. Enable Bluetooth on the Android device. 3. Select the RFID reader in the Available Devices list.
INSTOCK for Android 3 4. Log in to the INSTOCK app. 5. Tap the app toolbox. 6. Tap Bluetooth to display the list of paired devices. PAIR THE APP WITH THE FLEXIGAUGE 1. Press and hold the center button for two seconds to turn on the Flexigauge. 2. Press and hold the right and left buttons on the Flexigauge for three seconds to enable Bluetooth discovery.
INSTOCK for Android 4 3. Tap to open the app menu. 4. Select Bluetooth to display the list of devices pairable via Bluetooth. A list of Flexigauges within Bluetooth range displays. 5. Tap a Flexigauge to pair. 6. Enter 5678 as the Flexigauge PIN code. 7. Tap OK.
INSTOCK for Android 5 CREATE TIRES Create tires in stock. 1. Tap Add to create a tire. 2. Select a tire product. 3. Enter a new tire serial number. 4. Scan the tire RFID tag, if required. 5. Tap: A. Save Tire. B. Save and New to save and create another tire.
INSTOCK for Android 6 ASSIGN RFID TAGS TO EXISTING TIRES 1. Tap Add on the INSTOCK home screen. 2. Select a tire product. 3. Enter the tire serial number. 4. Scan an RFID tag to assign the code to the tire. 5. Tap: A. Save Tire. B. Save an New to save and assign a different tag with a different tire. Note: A tire can only have one assigned tag. If you assign an RFID tag to a tire which already has a tag, the new tag overwrites the old one.
INSTOCK for Android 7 SEARCH FOR TIRES To perform any stock operation, you must select one or more tires. USING THE RFID READER 1. Navigate to the home screen. 2. Direct the RFID reader at the tag or the tire to scan. 3. Press the trigger. The app beeps and displays the matching tire details. MANUALLY 1. Navigate to the home screen. 2. Enter a full or partial tire serial number. 3. Tap Search.
INSTOCK for Android 8 A list of tires matching your search criteria displays or the matching tire details display if you entered the full serial number. 4. Tap Filter to refine the search. 5. Tap and select the sorting criteria. The number of tires matching the criteria updates according to the criteria selection. 6. Tap OK.
INSTOCK for Android 9 PERFORM REGROOVE 1. Select the tire to regroove. The tire details display. 2. Tap Regroove. Note: You can only perform regroove on new and retread tires. 3. Select the regroove date. 4. Edit the tread depth: using the Flexigauge. manually entering the measurement. 5. Enter a comment, if required. 6. Select a regroove service. 7. Tap OK. The new tire details display. The tire life changes to Regrooved or Retread Regrooved depending on the initial tire life. The tire tread depth is updated with the full regrooved tread depth.
INSTOCK for Android 10 PERFORM REPAIR 1. Select the tire to repair. The tire details display. 2. Tap Repair. Note: You can only perform repair on tires from Fleet Stock and For Repair stock. 3. Select the repair date. 4. Enter a comment, if required. 5. Select which stock area to send the tire once repaired. 6. Select repair services. 7. Add damage details. 8. Tap OK. The tire casing status changes to Repaired and the tire returns to the selected stock area.
INSTOCK for Android 11 TRANSFER TIRES Use the Transfer Tires operation to move tires to different stock areas. You cannot use this action to move tires to different physical locations. 1. Select the tire to transfer. The tire details display. 2. Tap Transfer. 3. Select the transfer date. 4. Enter a comment, if required. 5. Select a transfer destination between: for regroove for repair for inspection for retread for scrap fleet stock out of stock 6. Tap OK. The tire is sent to the target stock area.
INSTOCK for Android 12 TURN TIRED ON RIM 1. Select the tire to turn on rim. The tire details display. 2. Tap Turn on Rim. 3. Enter the operation date. 4. Enter a comment, if required.
INSTOCK for Android 13 INSPECT TIRES Use the INSTOCK app to inspect and add tread depths for tires not mounted on a vehicle. 1. Select the tire to inspect. The tire details display. 2. Tap Inspect. 3. Select the inspection date. 4. Enter tread depths: using the Flexigauge. manually. 5. Enter the tire pressure. 6. Select which stock area to send the tire once inspected. 7. Enter a comment, if required. 8. Select visual rules, if required. 9. Tap OK.
