2 Powering on Press and hold for three (3) seconds. Installing Android Wear app on your phone IMPORTANT! Visit g.co/wearcheck on your phone to see if it is compatible with Android Wear 4.3 and up. 1. Connect your phone to the Internet then log in or sign up for a Google account. 2. Launch Play Store on your phone. 3. Key in Android Wear on the search field then tap INSTALL. 2

3 Pairing for the first time IMPORTANT! Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone before pairing. 1. Connect your phone to the Internet. 2. Power on your ASUS ZenWatch then select the language similar to your phone s. 3. Next, ASUS ZenWatch prompts you to install Android Wear on your phone. 3

4 4. On your phone, select the same model name shown on your ASUS ZenWatch. ASUS ZenWatch Choose a device: ASUS ZenWatch 5. Ensure that the passkey on your phone and ASUS ZenWatch are the same, then pair. Passkey: Pair 6. View the onscreen tutorials on using Android Wear. 4

5 Downloading ASUS ZenWatch Manager app on your phone The ASUS ZenWatch Manager app allows you to use special features such as: Find my phone, Find my watch, Unlock my phone, Cover to mute, personalize your own watch face, and many more. NOTE: Refer to ASUS ZenWatch apps for the phone for more details on these special features. Features may be updated without prior notice. To download ASUS ZenWatch Manager: 1. Connect your phone to the Internet then log on or sign up for a Google account. 2. Open Play Store on your phone. 3. Search for ASUS ZenWatch Manager then select INSTALL. NOTE: Visit Play Store to view the latest list of ASUS ZenWatch apps. 5

6 Navigating your ASUS ZenWatch Waking your ZenWatch Touch to wake up your ASUS ZenWatch. Or, tilt your wrist to wake up your ASUS ZenWatch. 6

7 Watch face The watch face is the screen that displays the time on your ASUS ZenWatch. ASUS ZenWatch is currently unpaired. ASUS ZenWatch is being charged. Mute notifications. Muting notifications and viewing the battery charge percentage Go to the watch face, swipe down then hold to mute or unmute notifications, and view the current battery charge percentage. 7

8 Changing the watch face 1. Touch and hold the watch face for two (2) seconds to launch options. 2. From options, swipe left or right then touch to select your watch face. NOTE: Use ASUS ZenWatch Manager app to create your own watch face. Dimming the screen Press your palm on ASUS ZenWatch to dim your touch screen display. 8

9 Using voice actions Using voice action allows you to call out features and apps. To start using voice action: Wake your ZenWatch, say OK Google, to the watch face, then say any voice command from the list. For example: Take a note. NOTE: Refer to the Action list section on the E-Manual for more details. Cards Notifications, information, apps, and features are displayed on your ASUS ZenWatch as cards. 9

10 Reading your cards Swipe up to go to the next card. Swipe down to go back to the previous card. Swipe left to see more information about the card you are viewing. Swipe right to close the card you are viewing or go back to your previous action. 10

11 Viewing and launching apps 1. Touch on the watch face, or wake up your ASUS ZenWatch then say OK Google. 2. Swipe up to view options or say Start. 11

12 3. Select Start to view the app list. Start 4. Swipe up or down to view the app list then select the app you want to launch. Start apps 12 Compass Turn your ASUS ZenWatch to an instant compass for your navigation needs.

13 Wellness Achieve a balanced mind and body as you set goals for step counts, and track your heart rate and relaxation levels. Flashlight Turn your ASUS ZenWatch into an instant flashlight using this app. ASUS ZenWatch apps for the phone Download these apps on your phone for more special ASUS ZenWatch features. NOTE: Visit Google Playstore to view the latest list of ASUS ZenWatch apps. Remote Camera Call out your phone s camera and use your ASUS ZenWatch as a viewfinder for taking photos. Wellness Enjoy more health and fitness features when you download this app on your phone. Remote Link Turn your ASUS ZenWatch into a remote control for powerpoint presentations. 13

14 ASUS ZenWatch Manager Find my phone and Find my watch - These features allow you to locate your paired phone or ASUS ZenWatch. Unlock my phone - Unlock your phone without the need for PIN codes. Cover to mute - Cover your watch to automatically mute your phone ringtone. Watch face - Create your own watch face using this feature. Measuring your heart rate Use the Wellness app to enable measuring your heart rate via your ASUS ZenWatch. To measure your heart rate using your ASUS ZenWatch: 1. Launch Wellness. 2. Slow down and relax to help stabilize your heart rate. 14

15 3. Follow the onscreen instructions then place both fingers on the metal sensor of your ASUS ZenWatch, as indicated below, to start measuring your heart rate. NOTE: The heart rate feature of your ASUS ZenWatch is intended for leisure and fitness purposes only. It should not be used for medical diagnosis.
