Electronics for Imaging, formerly PrintCafe (8 1/2 years) 2000-2009 Digital ERP For Print Consolidation effort to merge 3 ERP systems into a single tiered solution. I worked on software architecture as well as the user experience for job/order management. Skills:!Eclipse RCP, OSGi, SWT, Hibernate, JBoss, PostgreSQL, Lucene, Java,!!! Photoshop Prototypes, SVN, Maven 2007 EFI Web Platform After using the Eclipse RCP in 2005 we decided to port those concepts to a web based framework providing an environment where application developers would feel comfortable building web based applications. This was before the Eclipse RAP project was developed. We created a web framework built on the eclipse equinox OSGI plugin foundation, and bolted on Echo2 as the widget toolkit and Ajax engine. Our goal was to port the Executive Information System, and other applications, to this web based framework as well. My role on this project was writing both Client side widgets, extending the Echo library, as well as serverside components such as Servlets and Session beans running in a JBoss application server. I created browser compliant Javascript as part of extending the Echo2 library, some of which I contributed back to the Echo2 project. Skills:!Eclipse Equinox, OSGi, Jetty, Echo2, JavaScript, CSS, SVN, Java,!!! Photoshop / Echo2 Prototypes 2005 Enterprise Information System (EIS) This real-time OLAP data analysis tool used to mine data from our ERP solutions was thought up solely by our development group, based on our observations of this missing component in the print industry. I created a flash presentation that we used to pitch the idea to our senior leadership team. Using Eclipse RCP, OLAP, JPivot, Mondrian, JFree Charts, SWT, and JFace, I was able to produce a richly interactive data mining tool. Also worked with Hibernate, Servlets, and XMLBeans. A challenge of this project was the ETL data translation from a common schema to 3 of our existing ERP solutions. EIS was a huge success and gained us high recognition at our trade shows. Here was some of the press we received. ** Must See Em award at Graph Expo 2006 for Enterprise Information System. ** WhatTheyThink Special Report on EIS Skills:!Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, JPivot, SOAP, Mondrian OLAP, MDX, JFree Charts,!!! XMLBeans, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, CVS, Java
2004 PrinterSite Fulfillment Solving this business requirement involved converting an off-the-shelf shopping cart application developed in PHP into an integrated order fulfillment solution to our existing ERP solutions. We accomplished the integration through a common xml based transaction set. My role was to create the transaction schema as well as write the handlers in both PHP and JBoss to route these messages via JMS. We enhanced the storefront application with more Enterprise level features for our larger ERP solutions, such as more sophisticated shipping and billing options as well as a more flexible security model. ** Must See Em award at Graph Expo 2006 for PrinterSite Fulfillment Skills:!PHP, Smarty Templates, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, Jboss, Servlet, JMS, XML,!!! XSD, Paypal, CVS, Java 2003 Project Lead PrinterSite Internal Created a sales force automation tool that handled quoting, job creation and status, as well as a custom form building tool, that would integrate with 3 of our ERP solutions. Worked with EFI s remote ERP groups to meet aggressive deadline of only 2 months. Created client side code as well as the transaction schema for client/server communication. Skills:!JSP, Struts, JSP Custom Tags, JavaScript, CSS, XML, XSD, Castor, JBoss, JMX,!!! CVS, Java, Photoshop Prototypes 2002 PrintNet Integrator This product is the heart of all communications at EFI. It is our multi-tier secure communications infrastructure for client/server interactions between most EFI products. I wrote a file transfer API for moving large files from one system to another and created a transaction validator that validated all incoming and outgoing xml messages for accuracy against their schemas. I also created message handlers for our other products such as PrinterSite Internal, PrinterSite Fulfillment, and our Enterprise Information System. Skills:!JSP, JBoss, JMX, JMS, XML, XPath, XMLBeans, Castor, XSD, Servlet, CVS,!!! Java, Oracle, JBuilder 2000 Enterprise Site I was brought on board during the early startup stages of (EFI) formerly PrintCafe. I worked on a team of about 10 developers building a web interface for print buyers that supported Ordering, Estimating, Quoting and Job management. Most of the code I wrote was Coldfusion, Javascript, and CSS. It was backed by an Oracle DB. This was back during the startup days, when rapid development was critical to the success of the company. There were many sleepless nights, and those of us who were committed helped PrintCafe achieve success. Skills:!Coldfusion, JavaScript, CSS, Oracle, CVS, ColdFusion Studio IDE
