YEARS of fun at Sandy Lake Amusement Park!!! The 40 th Annual FunFest at Sandy Lake Amusement Park was a Fantastic, Awesome, Far Out good time. Let s give a to the groups that attended. Now, hold on to your hat and kick your feet up before you read this. We broke every attendance record the contest has ever had! More than 1,600 groups signed up, and over 63,250 Cow Pokes and Ranch Hands poured into the Park to perform at FunFest 2010! The families at Sandy Lake Amusement Park would like to thank each and every student, music director, parent, school staff member, and fan for their contribution to the largest spring school music festival in the country. He is Retired Director of Orchestra, Lamar High School, Arlington, TX. Following the untimely death of the beloved Mr. Weldon Minnick, who coordinated the orchestra stage since they began performing at FunFest, Royce became his successor and has never missed a beat since 1987. 2011 will be his 23 rd year to call the shots during Orchestra week at FunFest.
