Fort wayne united 12 and under INFORMATIONAL PROGRAM GUIDE 2015-2016

The UNITED mission is to offer the best facilities, coaching and playing environment for all players at all levels. MISSION STATEMENT Fort Wayne United Futbol Club strives to foster a child s technical, tactical, psychological and physical talents as they progress through all stages of player development. Aided by soccer professionals in our organization, our objective is to provide every player the greatest opportunity to develop their soccer skills in addition to important life skills such as discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. This task is accomplished by hiring the most experienced and qualified coaches who have a passion for the game and the desire and enthusiasm to educate young players to reach their potential. PHILOSOPHY Creating the right environment that provides elements essential for well-rounded player development is a major goal at Fort Wayne United FC. The development of a soccer player is a process in which players progress gradually from a simple to a more complex involvement in the game. This process cannot be rushed. Players should always compete at a level that is both challenging and demanding in order to foster improvement. We Offer: A consistent and competitive training environment that is demanding, challenging, motivating, enjoyable and realistic to the game. Quality training to help guide, direct and assist players through their youth careers from coaches who have a comprehensive understanding of the game and how to teach it. Ideal game environment that is age/ability appropriate against teams who will push the players to their maximum capabilities. Player identification system that help players achieve their goals whether it s playing Middle School, High School, Collegiate, Professional Leagues, Olympic Developmental Program (ODP) or National programs. Fees that are fair and affordable and a scholarship program for families in need. The above elements are generated through The Fort Wayne United FC s multi level-system. The first level is Academy which is the highest tier of travel competition. The second and third levels are Elite which is the middle tier of travel competition. 2

ABOUT US The Fort Wayne United FC is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. After recognizing that soccer in the Fort Wayne area was growing rapidly and the high level of talent that was present, the club was created in 2013 by merging two of the top organizations in the area, the Fort Wayne Fever Academy and the Citadel Futbol Club. Supporting a multi-level developmental soccer system that benefits every level of soccer player, local and regional soccer players are offered the very best in soccer development. Fort Wayne United FC provides an environment that includes the best facilities, coaching and player development for all levels. Our Club players train together on the same fields and the same facilities under one unified direction. These athletes are dedicated to their team, their Club and their sport. AT A GLANCE: 500+ children participate annually in our Fort Wayne United Cadet recreational program. 630+ children participate annually in our travel program under three levels: o Academy - top players compete against the best talent regionally and nationally. o Elite high level players who receive similar benefits as an Academy player and compete in the second tier at state, regional and national league events. We support fundraising programs such as Scrip, FW United FC Golf Outing, Aces Rewards program, Savory Sweet cookie dough and the fight against breast cancer (Shoot For A Cure Tournament). ACCOMPLISHMENTS Multiple Team State Championships United FC has graduated players who participate with National Team programs and at the professional level. Over 300 former players are currently playing collegiate soccer. Over $5 million in college scholarships have been provided to former Fever Academy and Citadel FC players. Annual host of 6-8 indoor tournaments, bringing in 1000+ people each tournament. Annual host of two local outdoor tournaments which bring in 4000+ people each tournament. Annual host of three State or Regional league play weekends which bring in 1500+ people each tournament. 3

THERE IS A NEED Based on European academy systems which have been extremely successful in England, Spain, Germany, Italy and Holland, the Fort Wayne United FC program offers an opportunity that is rarely found in the United States. We offer one unified direction and a consistent methodology applied across all age group. FW United FC is committed to soccer perfection and is dedicated to achieve the highest goals in the State and National Soccer Programs. We are truly a cut above the rest with capabilities extending from world class facilities and professional coaching to player achievement unparalleled in our community. Whether it is to become an international talent, a regional or state winner or a player who plays to the absolute best of their ability, Fort Wayne United FC provides the right environment to succeed. Encompassing players from ages five through nineteen, our comprehensive structure offers year-round training from experienced soccer professionals. Players will develop by learning skills and strategies at age appropriate levels. Each player will be exposed to the best coaching, training and facilities that give them the leverage to grow in all aspects. 4

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION U9-U10 BOYS AND GIRLS Youth Technical Development 12 and Under Boys and Girls THE FUN PHASE The fascination for playing and the thrill of scoring goals provides the launching pad. The joy and pleasure of the game are best nurtured by encouraging freedom of expression and organizing children s play in small groups. Our focus is on FUNdamentals and improving technique. At this stage, players do not understand tactics or collective play. We keep it FUN and ENJOYABLE to foster a desire to play while learning basic skills. ALL TEAMS WILL BE BALANCED. THERE WILL NOT BE ACADEMY AND/OR ELITE LEVEL TEAMS IN THIS AGE DIVISION. OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE NINE PLAYERS PER TEAM. EARN $1,000 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY EACH YEAR BY BEING A MEMBER OF THE Fort Wayne United FC The Aces Nation/Rewards Program membership fee is an included benefit for all players ages U9-U14. Players U15 and Up may take advantage of a special discounted rate. What does ACES stand for? Officially, it stands for Athletes, College, Education and Scholarships. Athletes obviously stem from sports, but also include cheer, dance and other activities. However, we are positioned to also offer benefit packages associated with Arts, College, Education and Scholarships, as well as Academics, College, Education and Scholarships. This extension of programs will allow us the opportunity to help positively change the futures of more students no matter what their passions might be. What are the core components of ACES Rewards? We believe there are four specific areas that must be addressed if a student-athlete wants to become the best possible version of him or herself in their athletic career and, more importantly, in life. As such, the ACES Rewards program was built to educate and develop in four primary areas: Nutrition Performance Recruiting College Planning 11

ACES REWARDS ACES Rewards is the most comprehensive student-athlete development program ever created. It provides players, parents and coaches with an on-going educational resource from national experts to use to improve development. It is a complete college recruiting system with private college scholarship money granted to all eligible participants. Additionally, there is a social connection component for students and families to gain insight, through the experiences of their peers, into what it takes to succeed at every level. We believe there are four specific areas that must be addressed if a student-athlete wants to become the best possible version of him or herself in their athletic career and, more importantly, in life. As such, the ACES Rewards program was built to educate and develop in four primary areas: Recruiting, College Planning, Nutrition, Performance. ACES NATION What is ACES Nation? ACES Nation is a membership program designed to provide group benefits and rewards ( ACES Rewards ) to students participating in youth organizations. The ACES Nation site is the community network which provides players, parents and coaches access to their ACES Rewards benefits: education, event access and registration, social connections, their scholarship accounts, tools and resources. ACES Nation is the entry into America s only complete resource for players, parents and coaches. ACES Tuition Rewards One of the greatest benefits of being an ACES Rewards annual member is that you are guaranteed a minimum college scholarship for your student-athlete(s) to over 300 private schools in the country. YES.COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS! Think about it.what if your student-athlete never gets a scholarship? What if their grades aren t good enough or they don t score well on the ACT/SAT? What if they stop playing sports or aren t able to play at the college level?. Instead of playing sports to try and get a scholarship, what if you get a scholarship just for participating in sports..even if you are 8 years old? 12

As a Fort Wayne United FC family who registers to be an Aces Nation member, players are provided $1,000.00 increments per year in the form of a college tuition discount, which is accepted within a network of private universities throughout the country. Historically, this points program has only been available to professionals in the financial services industry and scholarships were only earned through the use of one of these professionals and their investments. Now, for the first time ever, no financial services are needed. Through the creativity of a special strategic alliance with Game Changer Planning Network, ACES Rewards Program is able to provide college scholarship money to participating athletes to be used at one of over 300 private colleges and universities in 45 states. It works through a tuition rewards points system. What are Tuition Reward Points? Tuition Rewards is a unique private college savings program. Tuition Rewards Points are like frequent flyer miles but for college tuition! These Tuition Rewards are, in effect, discounts off tuition at participating private colleges and universities. For example, if a student has 10,000 Tuition Rewards Points, he or she is guaranteed to receive a minimum scholarship of $10,000 (spread equally over four years) at a member school. Earn tuition reward points simply by registering Use reward points towards college tuition Over 300 participating schools such as DePaul University Creighton University Butler University University of San Diego Drexel University Valparaiso University University of Dayton For more information, check out the details at Fort Wayne United FC website 13
