The assisted living center now has 11 residents. There are 4 rental homes on the farm. The Pecan Grove DBA of KNewman Holdings has 3 businesses, the assisted living center, the rental houses and the pecan orchard. See www.pecangrove.net. AUGUST 2007 JUNE 2010 Technical Advisor NOV CTES CONROE, TX The portion of CTES equity owned by Ken Newman was sold to National Oilwell-Varco (NOV) in August 2007. Ken continued to be responsible for the technical content of the CTES products. June 1993 August 2007 President, CTES, L.P. Founder of CTES, L.C. (partially owned by National Oilwell-Varco) and CTES, Ltd (UKbased company) which develop specialized products and perform research, consulting and contract engineering services for the Coiled Tubing industry. In 2007 the combined companies have 31 employees and in excess of $9.5 million in annual revenue. Selected major accomplishments of CTES include: Developed the Cerberus software suite that performs fatigue, downhole forces and well hydraulics models for job design calculations. Developed the Orion data acquisition systems and specialized sensors (diameter and depth sensors) for real time acquisition of data on CT units, pumping units, and wireline units. Over 100 of these units have been sold. Patented and developed a system to install wireline cable inside of CT while the CT is spooled on the reel. 18 of these systems have been sold. 23 March 2012 Resume of Ken Newman Page 1
Performed research regarding the fatigue, buckling, lockup, elongation, rotation and catastrophic buckling of CT. Performed research to prove that cement pulsation would improve the integrity of casing cementing. Developed CT Engineering and Operations manuals and training materials used by several large companies. Developed and operated a data warehouse to store drilling data transmitted via satellite from rigs, and make this data available to customers over the internet. Chairman of the Board, SmarTract, Inc. Invented and patented a downhole tractor system within CTES, L.C. This system was developed in conjunction with SensorWise, Inc. and then was placed in a separate company, SmarTract, Inc. The tractor system has been commercial since March of 2000. SmarTract currently has 7 employees in offices in Houston and Aberdeen Scotland.
