Mechanical Design/Structural Engineer Company Order Number: 372 Clear Edge Power is looking for a Mechanical Design & Structural Analysis Engineer to work in our Analysis and Fuel Cell Stack design group. This assignment will include a number of projects related to product cost reduction, expansion of product capability and product reliability improvement. The successful candidate will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing design solutions that balance performance, cost and manufacturability requirements. The engineer will create concepts and develop them through detailed design, validation testing, manufacturing and field repair. Responsibilities will include: Design and analysis of components, plumbing systems, structural frame member, enclosure; improvement of design criteria and analytical methods by identifying and pursuing root cause of analytical and/or hardware shortfalls, then devising new or improving existing criteria and/or analysis techniques and coordinating and reviewing outsourced analysis. Required: Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4 or better Ansys Mechanical FEA software ASME B31.1, B31.3 Piping design Solid understanding of the principals of structural mechanics and classical analysis methods. Familiarity with basic heat transfer and pressure drop calculations GD&T DFx Assembly, manufacturing, cost Familiarity with manufacturing methods welding, brazing, casting, machining etc. Knowledge of metal, polymer and composite material behavior. Demonstrated problem-solving experience in a multi-functional team environment. Strong mechanical aptitude to understand the interactions of complex assemblies and how to translate those interactions into sound analytical assumptions. Mechanical Engineer * * NOTE: Candidates can have BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Company Order Number: 335 Mechanical Engineer responsible for the fluid, thermal and mechanical design of fuel cell stack and power plant test facilities. Responsible for P& I s, hardware selection, interface sizing, conceptual control logic, and thermal management system design. Tasks include the planning, design, procurement, construction, calibration, installation and modification activities necessary to prepare, install and maintain the test equipment. Activities also include participation in FMEA s, HazOp s, EH&S reviews, failure investigations, and the training of hourly test operators. This position involves close interaction with numerous engineering disciplines and hourly functions. Ability to work in a team environment is a must. Applicant must be comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. A strong commitment to continuous improvement, root cause corrective action is required. Education: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Experience/Qualifications: Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Pro Engineer. At least one year of experience in product development and evaluation/test activity, or production testing or two years experience in an engineering environment exercising the responsibilities described is preferred. Additional Comments: Experience in any of these is a plus: Automatic or dynamic controls, electro-mechanical components, PC data acquisition, PC real time control systems, N.I. software and hardware, PLC programming. Some shift rotation may be required.

Supplier Quality/Supply Chain Engineer Company Order Number: 362 Responsible for quality and supply chain management of tier 1 and multi-subtier suppliers in the Supply Chain. This position is a blended position functioning in both the supplier quality and supply chain groups. Responsibilities Works closely with fuel cell suppliers on the development and qualification of new manufacturing, assembly and test processes. Responsible for placing supplier purchase orders and processing invoice receipts. Responsible for defining and monitoring quality inspection requirements of components and systems, and supporting incoming and supplier inspection with technical guidance on testing requirements. Perform gage R&Rs with both internal and supplier qualification tests and equipment. Supports / drives failure analysis and corrective action with supplier to identify and resolve the root cause of the problem. Work within the supply chain management/purchasing group specifically to support sub-tier supply chain logistics, including tracking of international product assists and MHV (Material in the hands of Vendors). Provides input and reviews technical documentation for RFP s/rfq s and technical contract issues. Establishes and/or maintains a system of metrics to continually monitor measurable supplier performance. Some hands on lab testing work may be required. Systems Engineering Intern Company Order Number: 376 This position is for an internship within the Systems Engineering Discipline at ClearEdge Power. Typical systems engineering tasks include concept design, conducting trade studies, conducting steady-state mass and energy balances, conducting dynamic analysis, functional analysis, participating in hazards analysis and failure mode analysis, defining system control strategies, developing test plans, applying test plans, analyzing test data, and writing test reports. Involvement may be required in the entire product life cycle from initial concept to field support. Education Working toward a BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline. Test Engineer - Alternate Work Week (AWW) Company Order Number: 385 TEST ENGINEER AWW The primary responsibility of the Test Engineer for production testing of Fuel Cell Power Plants and Stack Assemblies is to coordinate and give instructions on conducting complex product acceptance tests. This includes performance analysis and troubleshooting when there is a non-conformance identified during the testing procedure. This position involves close interaction with numerous engineering disciplines and hourly functions. Ability to work in a team environment is a must. Applicant must be comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic work environment. A strong commitment to continuous improvement and root cause corrective action is required. The Alternate Work Week (AWW) Shift is a total of 36 work hours per week. The AWW shift includes two twelve hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, with remaining twelve hours completed during a weekday. Additional Details: Define the Test Process and create/update Production Documentation. Complete Test Reports and other required documentation. Lead troubleshooting of Test Article, Test Stand and support equipment. Effectively employ the use of Statistical Process Control, and RRCA tools to improve the current processes. Assist in the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of new and upgrades to the test stands and facilities. Participate in FMEA s, EH&S reviews and investigation of component failures Conduct continual improvement activities to enhance the test process, such as Kaizen lean methods, etc. Create and maintain documentation, such as manuals, procedures, etc. Maintain, develop and deliver training to hourly personnel. Ensure timely resolution of failures, corrective actions and implement preventive measures. Minimum Education Requirements: BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering Preferred Experience / Skills: At least 3 years in test/manufacturing, preferably in a high volume production environment. Knowledge in automatic or dynamic controls, electro-mechanical components, PC data acquisition, PC real time control systems, N.I. software or hardware, PLC programming Experience with reading electrical and mechanical P&ID. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Work independently, and proactively. Experience with product introduction (prototype to pilot to volume ramp-up)
