All introductory skills will be taught from turning the computer on and off correctly, to email, to Internet, to file management. You will be able to do all the things that your friends and family are doing. Microsoft Excel 2013 Level I_$59 Tuesday & Thursday March 10 th & March 12 th or May 12 th & May 14 th 6pm-9pm Using the spreadsheet software program, discover beginning shortcuts for setting up fully formatted worksheets quickly and efficiently. Students will learn functions to sort and analyze data, create custom charts, pivot tables, design workbooks, create macros and use custom toolbar functions to create informative and eye catching charts. Students will also learn how to create macros to eliminate repetitive tasks and other functions. Leisure Classes Conversational Spanish $75 Monday April 6 th May 11 th 6pm-8:30pm In this course students will learn simple words and phrases to converse effectively in Spanish. This is a beginning course. Painting for Fun $150 Thursdays February 26 th May 7 th 3pm-6pm Would you like to enhance your artistic ability? Take this class and learn basic drawing skills and unique techniques in the art of painting with watercolors or acrylics. The student is responsible for supplies. Digital Photography $59 Would you like to learn how to take professional looking pictures? Students will learn such topics as lighting, picture composition, posing and much more. This is a beginner class. Students must furnish their own digital camera for class. Tai Chi $49 Sherry Woods has been teaching Tai Chi for 14 years. Tai Chi is easy to learn, effective and safe. It increases flexibility, muscle strength, and heart/lung activity. Tai Chi also aligns posture, improves balance and integrates the mind and body. The CDC now recognizes Tai Chi as an excellent prevention for falls in older adults.

25 Point Check Car Care $29 The 25-Point Check for your automobile workshop is designed to teach basic auto care and maintenance. Students will experience in-class tutorials and then move to the shop and practice on their own vehicles. Each student will learn 25 ways to maintain their cars including topics such as: check oil and tires, locate the car jack and change a tire, prepare an emergency tool kit for the auto and learn other ways their auto should be served. Beginner Blade Smithing $350 plus materials Thursday & Friday January 22 nd March 27 th 6pm-10pm Blade Smithing is the art of making knives, swords, daggers, and other blades using a forge, hammer, anvil, and other smithing tools. This class is taught by a Master Blade Smith. Frog Listening Workshop FREE Thursdays February 12 th & February 19 th 6:30pm This classroom workshop will teach you to identify all the frogs and toads in our area by their calls. Students will learn to mimic the frog calls. You will also learn why they are important, why they are in trouble, and what can be done to help them. Trade & Industry Welding Certification_$444 Monday February 2 - April 6 6pm-10pm Gain hands-on training in the welding trade to prepare to pass the welding test in order to gain certification in various types of welding. Cost includes supplies, certification fees and tuition. Student is responsible for supplying his/her own welder s helmet and gloves. Blueprint Reading $59 This course introduces the basic principles of blueprint reading. Topics include line type s orthographic projections, dimensioning methods, and notes. Upon completion student will also be able to read basic blueprints and identify lines, symbols, and terminology on working drawings.

Lean Operations in Business & Management $59 This four hour overview of Lean Operations will introduce the concept of value and how eliminating waste in processes directly adds to an organization s bottom line. Overview includes a brief discussion of Six Sigma and how Lean and Six Sigma complement each other. CNC Machining $333 Students will learn about advanced and short-cut methods of programming, such as the repeat function, the subroutine function, the rotate function, and how to scale and mirror a program. The student will spend time writing, entering, and editing programs. This course is 1/3 theory and 2/3 lab. Safety is emphasized. Cost does not include materials. Master CAM I $333 This course utilizes Master CAM software to design, test, and manufacture parts. Students will learn how to draw and manipulate a design on the screen and how to create a tool path, and finally how to send information to a machine tool for manufacturing a part. OSHA 10 $225 As This 10-hour General Industry Safety and Health course is intended to provide entry level general industry workers a broad awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a general industry site. OSHA recommends this training as an orientation to occupational safety and health. Upon completion, attendees will receive a certificate and a 10-hour course completion care. OSHA 30 $495 This course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in general industry. Specifically devised for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors; the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910. General industry workers must receive additional training when required by OSHA standards, on specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OHSA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach DOL course completion cared within 4-6 weeks.. Hunter s Education FREE Safety Training

Every Third Saturday of every Month 8am-6pm Hunter s Education is a program dedicated to the safe enjoyment of our outdoors. Through this program, students learn not only firearms safety, but general basic outdoors survival skills as well as hands on demonstrations. There is no specific age requirement to enroll in hunter education. Students who successfully complete an approved hunter education course will receive a certificate card. Defensive Driving For Schedule of classes please call Don McKenzie with Southwest Safe Driving 870-238-8095 Defensive Driving is specifically designed to improve driving skills. In the class students will learn about laws that will help them become a safer driver. Learn about laws that have been passed concerning cell phones and texting while driving. Students will leave with great information on how to become a better and safer driver. First Aid/CPR $45 This program focuses on essential responsibilities of a first aid provider including recognizing a medical emergency, making the decision to help, identifying hazards and ensuring personal safety, activating the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system and providing supportive basic first aid care. Woman s Self Defense FREE February 4 th 6:30pm-8:30pm Learn behavior changes to reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of a violent crime. Class discussion on awareness and prevention and will conclude with hands-on techniques to conquer or detour an attacker. Register Today!
