Value is what you get. Corporate financial management involves valuing businesses or parts of businesses and thinking about ways to increase value. How do you measure value? Corporate finance and accounting is strategy with numbers. *** Managers who can also structure their strategic thinking in a spreadsheet can enable discussion about strategy to become a discussion about the value drivers of the spreadsheet. Since risk comes from not knowing what you are doing, proper financial risk management and financial innovation can help creating and measuring value.
