FUNCTIONALITY The parent can customize the content categories to filter web pages. Three default profiles are proposed (Elementary school level, Middle school level, High school level).the parent can indicate specific URLs to be blocked (creation of a black list) or allowed (creation of a white list) by the filter. There is no possibility to block applications. The monitoring activities include the report on the forbidden websites that the user tried to access as well as information on the pages that were visualized. USABILITY Installation of the tool: The installation is generally comprehensible and well supported by the website's instructions, which aren't linked to the process though. The installer does not provide advanced options and cannot be influenced with regard to kind or amount of information. The process is consistent, but it does not fully meet users' expectations as, for example, the installation button is not labelled adequately. Configuration of the tool: The configuration process is partly not comprehensible and context sensitive explanations are missing at a few points, especially the connection between user profiles and devices is hard to understand. There are barely any options to individualise or influence the process. The process contains some inconsistencies and it does not always meet users' expectations. The overall look and feel is appealing, but could be optimised with regard to common standard. Usage of the tool: The tool provides barely any options to react, when a website has been blocked. The alert message is not worded with respect to children's capability of understanding and cannot be customised. The reporting is well comprehensible. Usability of the installation process: 2,12 Usability of the configuration process: 2,18 Usability of the usage of the product: 2,13 OVERALL SCORE FOR USABILITY: 2,15 OUT OF 4 POINTS The tool resisted to the main hacking attempts to by-pass it. SECURITY OVERALL SCORE FOR SECURITY: 4 OUT OF 4 POINTS
