Based on your Companies installation, you may have a LinkPoint dropdown button. LinkPoint can be accessed via the Actions menu in Lotus Notes.
You can address the email by typing an email address, selecting a recipient from your Lotus Notes address book, or by using the LinkPoint Salesforce Address book.
To use the LinkPoint Address book, enter any part of a Contact last name or email address and click Go. LinkPoint will return all contacts or leads containing the search criteria.
Select a Contact or Lead and click the To, CC, or BCC to move the address to the recipient list. You can also Remove selected addresses from the recipient list.
The recipients are placed in the appropriate fields and you can continue composing your email.
You can also attach documents from your Salesforce document library.
You can choose documents from your Salesforce document library to attach to your e-mail.
To send the email and record it to Salesforce, click the CRM Send or CRM Send and File option.
You can create a Follow Up Task or Appointment for that e-mail in Salesforce. The LinkPoint email window is used to identify how to record the email into Salesforce. The Task or Appointment will be associated to the selected reference. By default, the recipients and their opportunities, cases and other related items are presented. Additionally, you can search other records.
You can also choose to store email attachments in Salesforce Click Record Now to send the email via Lotus Notes and record the email to Salesforce or Cancel to return to Lotus Notes.
The email has been recorded in the Activity History section in Salesforce. Attachments are stored in the Notes & Attachments section.
