Product Overview PayFox for Android PayFox is the Transaction Central and Transaction Express mobile application that turns an Android device into a credit card terminal. It s a state-of-the-art; secure way for merchants to grow their business in all new directions, and it s FREE to download from Google Play. Perfect for anyone with an on-the-go workforce Contractors Caterers Field management providers (i.e.: plumbers, roofers, etc.) Salons Merchants can accept credit cards anywhere: In the field Trade shows Outdoor events School functions Free download from Google Play Processes Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex, plus signature debit Transactions are fast, convenient and secure Merchants can e-mail receipts, store customer contact information, and use geolocation mapping technology Supports add-on gratuities and tips Peripheral Devices The PayFox Android card reader allows merchants to swipe their customers credit cards rather than manually typing the credit card numbers. This cuts down on errors and makes transactions faster and more secure. In addition, the use of a card reader reduces Interchange cost by allowing the user to receive swiped rates. The card reader attaches to the merchants compatible Android, making swiping easy for the merchant or the customer. Compatible Android Devices are listed in Appendix A. Note: PayFox for Android supports all other Android devices for manual entry only. 4
Menu Button Some newer Android devices no longer have a built in Menu button. In these cases, a Menu button has been added to the top right corner of the PayFox application so the menu is still accessible. The button location is reflected below: 5
Product Features and Functions PayFox offers the functions of a point-of-sale terminal and a payment gateway: Sale Void Transaction History (maintained in the phone and the web portal) Inventory of products (aka mobile shopping card ) Geo-location of sale Access to customer contact information AVS and CVV2 (required for key entered transactions) Level II data supported (PO Number, Tax Amount required for business cards) Merchant and customer e-receipts Signature Capture Default Item Description PayFox System Requirements 1. An Internet connection Before Installing PayFox Prior to downloading and installing PayFox, the following information will be needed: 1. A registered Google Apps Account. For more information see: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2521798?hl=en 2. Access to the Google Play store. a. Browser link to PayFox: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appninjas.ucharge.payfox& hl=en 3. An Email Address. If any issues are encountered during this process, please contact your wireless service provider for assistance. Google Help for connectivity and OS assistance can be found at: https://support.google.com/googleplay/?hl=en If you already have both an Email address and access to the Google Play store, proceed to Download and Installation instructions on the next page. 6
Account Activation Programming Enablement Downloading & Installing PayFox The PayFox application can be downloaded from Google Play using a compatible mobile device. To download PayFox via Mobile Device: 1. Within Google Play search for PayFox. Select PayFox - TransFirst if more than one search result appears. 2. Select Download then select Accept & Download to install PayFox. 7
3. Select Open to launch PayFox for the first time. 4. PayFox will appear in the Application List once installed. 5. When accessing PayFox for the first time, the following screen appears. Enter all the Set Up New Account information. Select Signup. Note: If adding a second device to an existing account, use Login with the original email address and password. 8
6. The PayFox EULA (End User License Agreement) will appear when the application is launched. Select Agree to continue 7. To configure the PayFox application to the TransAction Central or Transaction Express gateway account, select the Menu button on the bottom left corner of the Android device. Note: TCID or TXPID and Regkey will be provided once Merchant Account with Transaction Central or Transaction Express is set up. Without Menu With Menu 9
8. Select Settings once the menu opens: 9. In the Settings Menu, select Configure Gateway 10. Select Gateway to specify Transaction Central or Transaction Express. The following information will be needed: Transaction Central: Merchant ID: 5 digit TransAction Central ID # RegKey: TransAction Central RegKey (ALL CAPS) Select Save Transaction Express: Merchant ID: 10 digit Transaction Express ID # RegKey: Transaction Express RegKey (ALL CAPS) Select Save 10
11. Select Gateway ID and enter the value in the provided Login field and press OK. 12. Select Registration Key and enter the value in the provided Password field and press OK. (RegKey should be ALL CAPS) 13. Once routed back to the Configure Gateway screen, press Save in order to save your information. 11
14. Once saved a success message will be displayed if all information was entered correctly. Once set up, a welcome email from PayFox will be sent. The included instructions will need to be followed in order to finalize the PayFox configuration. After the welcome email is received, select the embedded link to log into the PayFox portal. 12
16. The user must log into the account using the email address supplied during registration, and the temporary password supplied in the email from PayFox. Logging into the PayFox website allows the PayFox user to configure receipts, manage mobile devices, see transaction reporting, and manage account settings. It is important to ensure that the receipts are configured properly to ensure that MasterCard and Visa requirements for e-mailed receipts are met (please refer to User Guide for more information). 13
PayFox Online Portal Instructions Gateway Settings The Merchant ID and RegKey used to activate PayFox in the Gateway Settings can be updated if needed. This should only be used when the PayFox user is switching to a new TransAction Central account or switching from Transaction Central to Transaction Express. Use the Gateway Dropdown to select Transaction Central or Transaction Express. Use Merchant ID to specify a Transaction Central or Transaction Express Gateway ID. Use Regkey to specify the Regkey for the gateway account in use (ALL CAPS). Online Portal Receipt Config PayFox can email a receipt to the customer. PayFox must be configured in the PayFox online portal before a receipt can be emailed. Visa and MasterCard have data requirements for emailed receipts. The customer receipt must include(but are not limited to) the following pieces of information to meet compliance rules: Merchant DBA Name Merchant DBA Address Merchant Country (USA) Merchant Customer Service Phone Number 14
To Configure Receipts 1. The PayFox online portal can be accessed at https://account.payfox.com/account/. The username and password were included in the welcome email received from PayFox. 2. Once logged in, Select Receipts (right hand side of the screen) 15
3. The PayFox user enters the following information into the receipt form shown below: Company Name: Merchant DBA Name Receipt Intro Text: Merchant DBA Address, Country & Customer Service Phone Number 4. The PayFox user configures the footer for the receipt; specifies which email addresses should be sent a Merchant Copy of the receipt; and can turn the Geolocation Map for receipts: On or Off. 5. Select Save Changes. 16
Receipt Time Zone It is possible to set the time-zone which timestamps will appear on receipts in. This is defaulted to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) but can be adjusted to the local time zone of the merchant. Select the appropriate time-zone from the supplied dropdown and select Save Changes. Manage Terminals New Devices can be activated and old devices can be removed in the Manage Terminals section of the PayFox portal. An iphone s Device ID can be viewed in the Terminal Info section of the Settings menu. Note: Once a device is removed from the Manage Terminal list, reporting is no longer available for that device within the PayFox online portal. However, both Transaction Central and Transaction Express continue to provide reporting for deleted devices. 17
Account Settings The Email address associated with a PayFox account can be updated in the PayFox Portal using the Account Settings menu option. Products List The Product List option can be used to set up Products which can be added to a PayFox transaction. The product price supplied on the Product List screen will be automatically applied to the transaction to which the Product was added; the price may be manually overridden if needed. The item description for all items added to a transaction will reflect on emailed receipts, including the default description. You can add products via the PayFox mobile application or via the Merchant Portal. Any Products added in the PayFox portal can be downloaded to the phone by selecting the Refresh button on the Inventory screen in PayFox. 18

Setting a PayFox PIN Optional Phone Setting Setting a PayFox PIN Setting a PIN for PayFox protects the PayFox user s processing account from being used by anyone else. To set the PIN: 1. Select the Menu button on the bottom left corner of the Android device from the main PayFox screen. Select Settings 2. Select PIN lock under Customizations in the settings menu. 3. Enter a PIN/Passcode in the provided box and then select Set to save. 4. Each time PayFox is launched after the PIN/Passcode is set, the application will prompt for the PIN/Passcode to be entered. Deactivating PIN To deactivate the PIN security feature: 1. Select Menu > Settings > PIN Lock. The PIN assigned to PayFox has been removed. 20
PayFox Main Screens and Options PayFox screens and options The screen which appears when PayFox is launched is where basic transactions are setup and processed. The credit card number, expiration date, total amount, customer email, zip code, CVV security code, and a quick description of the product are entered on this screen. The more button allows for additional sale information about the customer including address, phone, country, customer ID, tax, and an invoice number. The following optional cardholder information can be added to a transaction by accessing the More button. Email Phone First Name Last Name Company Address City State/Province Country Invoice # PO Number Description Sales Tax Press the Back button on the Android device to return to the Sale screen after entering any of this information. 21
PayFox Transaction Processing Sale Once the PayFox application is launched, the main transaction processing page appears. Enter credit card number * Enter expiration date of card* Enter amount of sale Enter email address where receipt should be sent. Enter CVV * Enter Zip Code* Enter a description for the sale (required) *Applies to manually entered transactions only. If the user would like to enter more information, select the...more button, and another screen opens where customer, address, and order details can be added to the transaction. After transaction information is entered, the Charge It button turns into the Signature button*. For more details about these fields, please see the Screens and Options section. * Charge It button only turns into the Signature button if the Signature Required setting is turned ON. Selecting the Signature button allows the customer to sign for the sale using their finger as a writing utensil. 22
Tap the Tip Percentage to add a Tip as a percentage of the sale. Tap the Tip Amount to supply a flat tip amount to be added to the sale. Select Done after the customer signature has been captured to return to the sale screen. Select the Charge It button to process the sale. PayFox Cardholder Receipt Sample 23
Voids / Refunds Voids and refunds are processed from the Transaction List. To Void or Refund any transaction: 1. From the Main Transaction page, press the Menu button on the Android and select History. The Transaction List appears. 2. Select any transaction to be voided or refunded. 3. The Void/Refund box pops up. To Void, Leave the amount blank or an error message will return. To refund, enter the amount to be refunded. 4. Select Void/Refund button to process the Void/Refund. Press Cancel to return to Transaction History. 5. A success message displays upon a successful refund or void. 24
Inventory Selecting the Inventory button in the Menu will route you to the Inventory screen where Inventory items can be added, edited or downloaded from the PayFox online portal. Inventory items can be added to a transaction by selecting Menu > Inventory and then selecting an item from the Inventory List. Select Download on the Inventory screen to download any Products to the device which have been added to the PayFox Portal. Setting a Default Description A default Description may be set in PayFox in order to avoid supplying a value manually on each transaction. In order to set this: Select Settings from the main PayFox screen. Under Transaction Tap the Default Desc. Box in order to set a default. Use the keypad to enter a default description and select OK. This description will now default to the value supplied on all transactions processed through PayFox. The description may be updated on a transaction by transaction basis if needed. 25
Setting a Default Tax Rate A default Tax Rate may be set in PayFox in order to add tax to a transaction. Once activated, tax will be added to each processed transaction. In order to set this: Select Settings from the main PayFox screen. Under General Tap the Sales Tax option order to set a default. Tap Collect in order to activate tax on transactions Tap Tax Rate to set a the tax rate Use the keypad to enter a default tax amount and tap OK This tax rate will now default to the value supplied on all transactions processed through PayFox. 26
PayFox Settings Menu PayFox Settings Field Name Configure Gateway Description This is where initial configuration takes place. User will configure their PayFox application with their TransAction Central or Transaction Express Account information. Company Name Device Name Your Account PIN Lock Default Description Require Signature The PayFox user entered this information during set up and it must match the DBA name used on the merchant processing account. This allows a PayFox user to name a device. This email address used by the PayFox user to activate the account. This allows a merchant to password protect PayFox. This allows a User to set a default description which appears on each transaction. Turning this option on will force a signature to be entered before the transaction can be completed. Geolocation This feature uses your device s GPS to capture the location where the transaction was processed. If this option is on, a map will display on receipts sent to the customer. Tips Sales Tax Support Device ID Version Reset All Settings This feature presents the PayFox user with an easy way to add a gratuity. When this option is active, there will be 3 tip amounts reflected on the signature screen. Select the desired Tip amount to add it to a transaction. Note: This is a Tip at time of sale feature and not a tip adjust feature. This allows a default Tax amount to be specified which will be added to each transaction processed. This collection of links takes you to various guides, websites and support numbers. This is the ID assigned to a device once it has been activated. Each device activated received a unique device ID. The PayFox application currently installed on the device. This will reset PayFox to the default settings. 27
Transaction History You view historical data by selecting the History button from the Menu off the main PayFox screen. Transactions processed through PayFox are reflected on this screen. This list displays transactions processed on the device being used. TransAction Central and Transaction Express store full reporting data for all transactions processed through PayFox, and these transactions may be viewed within the Virtual Terminal. Uninstalling & Reinstalling PayFox will result in a loss of reporting data in PayFox. Reporting will still be available in TransAction Central or Transaction Express in these instances. NOTE: Transactions can only be Voided or Refunded on the Gateway on which they were processed; Transaction Central or Transaction Express. 28
Contact Information In the event that a PayFox user is doing business with a customer whose contact information is stored in their phone, some of the fields can easily be filled out using the More page as shown in the following steps. 1. Select the More button. This takes you to the More Fields screen shown on the following page. 2. Select the Menu button on the Android device and the Contact option should display. 3. Select a Contact from your Phone contact list and the contact information will be filled into the appropriate More fields. Note: Users that have customer contact information in a phone contact list may attach the contact information to a transaction (or enter it manually). Users may also log into the Merchant online portal and attach additional contact information to a sale that has already processed. 29
PayFox Portal Transaction Screen All Transactions processed through PayFox can be viewed in the PayFox online portal. On the Transactions screen, a user can: Update Customer Information to be stored with a transaction Resend a receipt for a processed transaction View the signature captured with a transaction There are several hyperlinks on this page that offer additional functionality. Edit: Edit allows the user to update Customer information for this transaction. Map: This opens a Google Map to the location where the transaction was made. This only displays if Geolocation was active on the phone at the time of the transaction. Resend Email: This resends the transaction email to the email address the customer supplied. Signature: The merchant can click on the Signature to view a larger picture of it. Multiple Android Devices When using multiple Android devices on a single PayFox account, the first phone must be registered using Set Up New Account. All subsequent devices must download the application and Log In To Your PayFox Account using the same e-mail address and password as the initial Android device registered to the account. PayFox accounts are driven by a unique e-mail address. Each Transaction Central ID or Transaction Express number must be associated with a single e-mail address and password. 30
Switching Gateway Accounts TC to TXP It is possible to switch the gateway account which PayFox is configured to from Transaction Central to Transaction Express and back, if needed. Switching gateways on a regular basis is not recommended as transaction Voids and transaction Refunds can only be processed on the same gateway which the original transaction was processed on. Switching Gateways can be performed in the PayFox application or in the PayFox portal. If done in the PayFox portal, the PayFox application will need to be synced in order to reflect the new gateway information. Switching Gateway Accounts in the PayFox Portal: 1. Access the Portal at: https://account.payfox.com/account/ 2. Select Gateway Settings Link 3. Select the Gateway from the Gateway Dropdown 4. Enter appropriate TCID or TXPID & Regkey Combo 5. Select Save Changes Switching Gateway Accounts in the PayFox Application: 1. Access the Settings menu in PayFox 2. Select Gateway 3. Select the Transaction Central or Transaction Express from the Gateway dropdown 4. Enter appropriate TCID or TXPID & Regkey Combo 5. Select Save 31

No sensitive data is stored within PayFox or on the web portal. Transaction Express (TXP) PayFox is powered by Transaction Express, allowing users to enjoy all of the features and functionality available with the Transaction Express Virtual Terminal to help manage their business.
